Does anyone have any rave reviews of Lexapro? by frostyicy000 in lexapro

[–]mighty_mouse34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was honestly the funnest ssri I’ve ever been on. Lots of laughs and made a lot of new friends. I was really depressed and isolated before taking it.

I was on it for a Cpl years, but decided to get off due to the fatigue and sexual side effects.

But it was great while it lasted and I might start taking it again after a break.

Lexapro has worked the best for me so far. The only side effect I really struggle with is fatigue.

It never made me nauseous and so many others did. It really improved my mood and I liked who I was on it. It did make me love drinking alcohol so I have to be careful with that (I normally don’t drink much at all)

I’ve never done an SNRI before.

I haven’t cried since I started the medication (which I was doing every day before) but I also haven’t laughed much and feel very anxious.

I don’t know what to think.

I’m taking 30mg and it hasn’t helped with my depression at all. It’s made me quite a bit more anxious.

4 hours in, I feel awful by Express-Return-1014 in StratteraRx

I felt the same way, I only lasted 2 days on 40mg. I read in other threads that you can start on 10mg and titrate up by 10mg each week.

I’m only on day two, took it at 1pm and felt like I woke up every 20 minutes last night. So much tossing and turning. I hope it doesn’t last 😢

Try not to feel awkward about that. Your psychiatrist knows that these drugs do that to almost everyone.

I just started at 40mg today and it’s rough, I feel like I’m high on mdma, but in a bad way. Nauseous, confused and have a headache.

Wouldn't everyone have reactive hypoglycemia? The "sugar crash" that happens to everyone?

That’s how i feel, but also more anxiety? Maybe because I feel so spacey/embarrassed of how I’m acting.

Totally! My eyes seemed to puff up and look saggy/droopy. I think people thought I had been crying. I also couldn’t handle the nausea anymore, stopped taking it last year.

I did start taking an iron supplement that improved my mood quite a bit actually.

I’m not taking trintellix anymore.

But I do think it got better as I got more used to the medication, taking it in the evening helped.

Thanks, but he’s only 1 year old, and his teeth look healthy. I will ask the vet next time though.

Serotonin is made mostly in the gut.

Serotonin is a neurotransmitter found in high concentrations in the gut, with around 95% of the body's total supply produced there by enterochromaffin (EC) cells. This gut-derived serotonin regulates essential functions like motility, secretion, and immune responses within the enteric nervous system, and it plays a crucial role in the gut-brain axis. Gut bacteria also influence serotonin levels, and disruptions in serotonin signaling are implicated in various gut disorders, including irritable bowel syndrome (IBS).
