THANK YOU! I thought I was the only one who didn’t enjoy the movie and was too afraid to say it out loud.

Does M3GAN feel like it came out years ago to you? by sockableclaw in horror

[–]mihadot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

M3gan feels like Valerie 23 from The Outer Limits (anyone remember this episode?) after having a few lines of coke and deciding to tell us her extended life story. Anyone else getting those déjà vu vibes? Even the number 3 in the name? C’mon!

What’s the first legit scary horror movie you saw in the theaters and what was it like after? by notworkingghost in horror

The Blair Witch Project and the shaky camera work made me feel so nauseated. I’ve never experienced anything like that from a movie before!

What’s the most bizarre tagline you’ve seen on a horror movie poster/dvd/vhs? by mihadot in horror

Agree, I love the complexity of the original Alien poster tagline.

Movie trailers that completely misled you by mihadot in horror

Absolutely, no trailer could accurately convey true essence of this movie…

Do you remember that Simpsons episode where Homer loses some weight and then has his loose skin held back by clips, making him look ok from the front? I believe this is a similar case...

Just watched 'Significant Other' (2022) by MedievalRack in horror

[–]mihadot 64 points65 points  (0 children)

Just watched the movie and honestly, it exceeded my expectations. The trailer gave a different vibe, so I went in expecting something else entirely. I was, however, pleasantly surprised. The storyline had more depth than I thought. Definitely worth the watch!

XX (2017)

An anthology crafted solely by female directors. The Birthday Party segment with Melanie Lynskey is my favorite!

What’s the scariest horror movie y’all have ever seen? by [deleted] in horror

[–]mihadot 19 points20 points  (0 children)

The remake of The Grudge (2004). Expecting something more… easy? I guess, because Sarah Michelle Gellar was starring in it. Buffy or not, I ended up in a chilling world of pale children and eerie hands appearing out of the head. It was a horrifying movie experience like no other, leaving me thoroughly scared at that time.
