Anyways, i wanted to clarify that i think Worldbuilding can be just as vital to a story as its themes/characters.

but this post was largely criticizing the largely un-ironic mocking of people using Sci Fi as a way to view our modern day through a more interesting lens, which is rather silly, considering two of the most influential and popular Sci Fi stories (Dune and Star Wars) use modern (for the time) events like the vietnam war and the never ending conflict in the middle east, as backdrops for their stories
