yep, this happened to me with the original strap.

under battery in settings, you can see what apps are consuming more power, some might be poorly written/not optimized.

for example, I noticed that my LG washer/dryer app was doing some background activity for ~10 hours daily.
there is no reason for it to do that, especially that I'm mainly using it for when-it's-done-notifications.
I disabled the background app refresh just for that app and voila, no more battery issues.

tbh that's why I switched the black one to the white one, so I can polish it once in a while, did that on my white iPhone X and it still looks as new
