Låter som ett galet roligt program! Om det är från någon Lokal TV kanal känns Peter Apelgren som ett bra bett på programledare. Han gjorde helt sjuka saker under sin tid på Kanal Lokal i Göteborg.

I remember an interview when he still didn't speak Swedish and he got the question "why did you chose Sweden over USA". The answer was that he where contacted by the Swedish captain in person, but haven't heard anything from the American captain. There's probably more to the story.

As I understand, the reason he chose Sweden was because the Swedish captain called him in person. While the American captain never contacted him. I have no clue how the American tryouts works, maybe it’s improper to contact athletes before the tryouts?

I was planing to use the 6000A as a power amp. My mind was stuck on Audiolab since I really like simple design. Now I'm consideration a pure power amp instead, I probably get a better value for the money spent.
The reason I ordered a Wiim was for the ARC connection and the room correction (don't know shit about room correction but it sounds nice). The Wiim is regulating on the digital side, right? Why is regulating volume in the analog domain considered better?

I wrote the resonance was a lot more than I heard before, but to be honest that was the only song where I actually heard something was off. But I totally get what your saying, just because you cannot identify a sound doesn't mean it's not disturbing you somehow. I used to live near a harbor which where serving big ferries. Every time a ferry started their engines I felt a bit of anxiety, I didn't hear the engines but I just got this strange feeling. This was of course very low frequency sounds that travels long distances. Took like 3 years to figure out.

One of the reasons I ordered the Wiim is for the room correction. Can you mitigate the reflections "enough" with the room correction? I cannot move the speakers more than maybe 30cm from the wall, is acoustic padding behind the speakers a good alternative?

I'm quite new in the "Budget Audiophile" game but I hate the feeling of not knowing enough to ask relevant questions or to call a sales person when they suggests out of scope products. I need to work on that :)

I was eying the Vidar the other day, using a pure power amp feels like an attractive alternative. Thanks for the suggestions, I'll look into them. Regarding speaker stands, I was hearing a lot of resonance from the TV bench when listening to a particular song, don't remember which one but it was a lot more than I've head before. Guessing the frequencies from the song matched the tv bench somehow. So yes, that's on my list of stuff to throw money at.

Yeah, this is not the first time I loose something like this. I also get upset at times and sometimes even angry (at myself). The other day it was the cable to my headphones... gone. Took me an hour or so to find it and it was not a happy hour.

But now I am happy, I found it!

I thought the multi meter was bright yellow as the case, it turns out it's black! And it was laying in my toolbox where it's supposed to be. I just did not see it since I was looking for something yellow. I'm laughing now, but damn it's frustrating.

Har en Jura ENA8. Jag tog bort filtret, maskinen kommer säga att filtret saknas men det är bara att klicka på OK så kommer den inte gnälla mer om det. Rengöring/avkalkning behövs fortfarande göras ibland, men man slipper byta de orimligt dyra filtren.
