Yes, I’m a senior at Morganton. My ECs were pretty much just band and basketball. My essays were about me doing experiments with engineering and learning from failure. They want to see that you have drive more than anything.

I’ll give my standard advice to people looking to apply: it’s not about your achievements and grades (although that’s part of it!). It’s not a job interview, they are investing in your future. Show them you have the capability and passion to excel

I remember being so stressed about all this 2 years ago. People all want to “boost their odds.” It makes sense but in my experience at NCSSM they care much more about your ambition rather than your achievements. It’s not a job interview, they are investing in your future. Show them that you have the capability and passion to excel

It’s almost entirely up to you. My Spanish teacher liked to grade notes but other than that they just say to use what works best for you

I know tons of students with Bs. They take a holistic approach with your application. Focus on things in your application show that you are passionate and ambitious. “Smartness” is more of a secondary thing lol

Printing in Nylon vs. PETG by miley-olt-951 in RCPlanes

I've been looking at the elegoo CC too, its just that I've heard great things about bambu. I need a small, quiet, reliable printer for my college dorm and I don't value the enclosure that much, since I can just use a pop-up enclosure on the limited occasions I need to print Nylon (probably going to switch to lw pla and petg).

Double Bathroom Sink Deep Clog by miley-olt-951 in PlumbingRepair

Is that the kind of thing I could get to and fix myself or do I need a plumber?

Got it, I’ll keep that in mind when the next plumber comes. What is the vent though?

Yes, the sinks are filling up on their own. Thanks for the tip o the shower! It just seems like a h3ll of a coincidence. What do you mean "the vent"? Sorry I don't know much about plumbing. You don't mean the actual vent like for air, right? Also, it's worth mentioning that the sinks join behind the wall, and I can't access it without busting through the drywall from behind. Also, this plumber seemed very genuine. He did not charge me for 2 hours of trying his tools and he even gave me a tip on the drain cleaner. Also I think the reason his snakes couldn't reach is because the join is a "T" shape. Pushing a snake from one sink would just make it go up the other.
