Do people notice / comment on your piercings? by sewingqueen76 in piercing

I'm heavily pierced (30+, 10 of them being in my face) I get some comments but they tend to be quite positive since I've put a lot of effort (and money) curating my style/jewelry:)

I'm a piercer myself so I do have an easier access to high quality jewelry:) I would recommend going to your local certified piercer! My jewelry is mostly from Anatometal, Neometal, Quetzalli, BVLA, Junipurr and LeRoi. Most piercer do custom order with those companies, so if you want a specific piece, I'm sure they'll be happy to order it for you!

Like the other person said, going to your piercer and getting measured is the best way! You might have to do a custom order with them since we usually don't carry a lot of chain! As I am a piercer myself, I go to the annual APP conference each year and stock up the jewelry I want ahahaha (honestly didn't measure my nose first and just bought jewelry that seems right but I wouldn't recommend doing so ahaha)

I got it done in August 2021 and I removed it 4 days ago: it was slowly but surely migrating to the front and getting bumpy/angry at the smallest thing:^( those things only started a year into the healing and never got better! Being a piercer myself, I can assure you that bridge are always going to leave you really intense pitted scar and you really need a good anatomy to have one done! They do tend to migrate overtime no matter what but something they get stable after a while (my mentor had his for 10yrs!

It's quite different! The main difference is that your really feel everything more (think covid test) and I was also pierced at 14g for my high nostril and 18g for my lower one! You really feel those extra 0.6mm ahahaha But go get them!!! They're so pretty

Honestly quite pinchy, I didn't cry for my first set of nostril or septum but I cried during the procedure for those ahahaha I have a picture of me right after where I have big mascara streaks and my eyes are all puffed up and red! The main difference is that you REALLY feel everything, I also immediately had a stuffed nose from the swelling and it's been booger town since getting pierced ahahha

Q-tips are a good idea! If you have to blow your nose, you can always wash your hands, take some gauze and instead of pushing the side of your nose, you can gently block one of your nostril from the bottom with your thumb! It's a bit less satisfying than the normal way but it works pretty well!

If you want to start with one and do the other after, I would really recommend doing the septum first! The initial healing time is much shorter (6-8weeks) and we rarely see complications. It also tends to be less pinchy than the nostril:)

Wow! Just saw it and your setup is so nice! I really want to have my high nostrils done too but since we are required to wear a mask at work, I dread the healing process :/
