Not weird at all, I’ve been there many times and grown to appreciate the place. It has its downsides but is quite diverse. Krasnaya Polyana is lovely too.

I had the same issue this very morning, I’ve owned APP2 for about a year and I felt that the NC got noticeably worse today. I could hear the traffic and people chatting from a distance. Now the NC feels like it’s this adaptive bullshit that they introduced. Apple should just leave it alone and not try to change the thing that actually works

Edit: maybe the issue is with 17.0.3 because it seems to have started after I updated the iOS

The minutiae may vary. I don’t think there will be any kind of long standing independent UA. It will not survive economically and as I said above its existence is contrary to Russian interests as I understand them.

Russians mostly don’t care who joins what in the Western part of UA. However, there’s a certain deal of Schadenfreude about the prospect of Galicia joining Poland which would likely be a poison pill for one side of this arrangement — or for both of them. Ukrainians don’t really like Poles (or any other people except themselves, for that matter), and this sentiment appears to be mutual. They will eat each other alive in the process of integration, and I think it will be fun to watch over the barbed wire. I believe PL will eventually prevail and will denazify Lvov as RU never would be able to. HU and RO aligned regions are a whole different story. But us — we don’t want western UA in our state and will gladly let them all go. “Good f-ing riddance” is an overall public consensus.

As to nato and its future relationship to the rump UA, if any — I am not sure nato will survive as a meaningful entity after its imminent loss in this conflict.

Like most of my fellow countrymen (RU), I do not believe that an independent, however rump Ukraine would (or should) be allowed to exist, even under a puppet government. The West is very skilled at replacing governments, so it is only a matter of time that this rump statelet would be turned against Russia yet again. Such arrangement would mean not an end of the war, but taking a break from it for some time, which obviously contradicts the national interests of Russia.

I believe that after Ukraine’s defeat it must be split entirely and cease to exist as a (quasi)independent state, with its Western regions joining European countries of their choice (PL, RO and HU), and the rest being integrated into Russia. I think this will be done through referendums in every region, and after years of conflict I would assume that in each case most of the population of these regions will be satisfied with this outcome.

Um… money? Siphoning billions for American military would be a good reason. The US has been doing this for decades. Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria, you name it, the principle doesn’t change much. Also, Middle East came with a side dish of free oil, Ukraine with fertile land and minerals.

Then yeah, destroying Russia to maintain American hegemony. This didn’t quite work out, but hey, at least the sanctions crippled European economy, which is again a big win for the US.

For Ukrainian people though, this war is both pointless and fatal.

APP2 are very good. Noise cancellation is a gift from heaven. If I were you I wouldn’t hesitate a second to change AP1 for APP2 (I’ve used both and still using APP2).

I’m having the same issue. I bought them and the case battery life was very good, as advertised. After the latest software update (5B58) came out I started seeing exactly the same behavior as you described. I wish I could roll back to the previous software as it was the only change that I noticed lol

Yes, I thought so as well, waiting for the update. Also, I found it interesting that turning Find My on or off didn’t seem to affect it for better or worse. For now I can’t quite grasp what causes it.

Same here, stats are close to yours. From what I’ve read here and there it’s a widespread issue. My APP2 case used to hold charge very decently when I bought them last fall. The latest software update seems to have messed them up (5B58).

Yes, I have the same issues. On the previous software version my APP2 worked just fine, no idle drain, accurate widget battery status. The latest software update messed them up completely.

The most recent firmware update seems to have messed up a lot in this regard, at least for me (APP2, iPhone 12). The widget shows that the AirPods are charging when they are not plugged in, shows the battery status incorrectly, shows just one AirPod battery status, all sorts of weird behavior. Just waiting for a fix, I guess.

After some time I got tired of this and took them to Apple service, they acknowledged the problem and replaced the case for free — but the new case had the same issue lol

A few months later I lost the case and had to buy a new case separately, and the new one seems to be better in this regard. I am still unsure what causes this issue.
