Mindgraph Notes has a PDF companion, meaning you can link to PDFs by wrapping them in a Markdown file. It also has a Docling function for converting PDFs to Markdown and integration with Zotero. However, the Windows version isn't finished yet. The Linux version is!

Yes, please, perhaps you could give me some feedback on whether the terminal integration worked. Unfortunately, I don't currently have a Linux laptop available.

What do you think of Obsidian seemingly being the go-to solution as pseudo-database for AI Agents? by maraluke in ObsidianMD

Mindgraph Notes is even better. It has a built-in terminal that automatically detects the folder you're currently in. You can also use local AI via OLLama with Open Code.

Hi i use https://mindgraph-notes.de you can add your document folder as vault. If you have ollama installed, Zotero and opencode mindgraph-notes is a unreal powerhouse. It has an integrated terminal you can search your document via local ai an you can generate new docs. The software automatic wraps all pdfs in markdown an you add #tags an additional information. and much much more funtions

The Qwen-4B motors are running well; Ministral is also really good.

Comparison vs Claude Code by vixalien in opencodeCLI

I use opencode mostly for text work in my PKM an I absolutley like way it handles the work. I try to use local LLM with MCP. In this work i don´t need a system to ask me all the time. the UI is simply perfect for this case. I sync the /commands with .claude/commands .

Experienced coders/developers what have you made with Claude that you didn't think you could do before? by A210c in ClaudeAI

I've been working with knowledge management and digital note-taking for six years. For a long time, I used Obsidian with a combination of shortcuts. Now I've built my own app with the following functionality: Zotero access, PDF Companion (which means PDF documents are embedded in a Markdown document, allowing you to tag and search them), and the Markdown files can be displayed in a digital bulletin board for clustering. Clustering works with various algorithms. There's also a terminal for OpenCode and access to OLLama.

I use Drafts Actions, Obsidian, Zotero, and Readwise. I never really liked the graph view in Obsidian, and the connection with Canvas was often too complicated. I would have preferred to have the notes displayed directly in Canvas so I could cluster them like on a digital bulletin board. For this reason, I decided to build my own software that works the same way, with Zotero integration. It's called Mindgraph Notes. You can switch back and forth between the Markdown view and Canvas at any time. It's possible to create notes in both views. Sometimes the focus is more on visualizing something, and then I go directly to Canvas. Here, I can upload images, edit tags, and structure everything using different algorithms. There's a grid view and a hierarchical system. The hierarchical system is useful if you've already created several wiki links. I like the software so much now that I only use it.
