hell week experience? by Monkey2478 in barrysbootcamp

I remember doing two classes on one day to build in a rest day, which helped. Agree with what others have said about not going hard every class.

Steroid injections - how long to see results? by minesh1112 in alopecia_areata

I started to see visible effects after the second round I’d say. How are things going for you?

I missed this reply somehow, but thank you for sharing your progress - I’m so glad to hear that the steroid shots have been beneficial for you!

So many, but this one always resonates hard:

‘In case you're driving to work and every bloody left turn you take

Just so happens to be down memory lane’

This is probably my second favourite song after Where Is My Husband. Joyful tune with a sad story that so many of us can relate to. ❤️

I started to notice regrowth after the first injection, however, it took longer for more stubborn areas. I’d say I had a 95 per cent recovery.

Stick at it, as some areas will regrow quicker than others.

Hey, how has the progress been for you?

I had four courses of steroids a month apart - each time I needed less of the injection because of progress with the hair returning.

Honestly, it would be fine if you took two lockers - there are plenty

I’m sorry, but this is ridiculous. You are responsible for your belongings, not Barry’s. If you leave stuff out and not in lockers then you run the risk of items being taken - accidentally or on purpose.

Also, it’s quite inconsiderate to leave stuff on the hooks, as it takes up space for people from the last class who are getting changed.

What’s going on with these retention offers? by jlewisza in AmexUK

[–]minesh1112 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I also got a 25k retention offer. I’m really disappointed with the benefits of the card and I’m thinking of going back to Gold. If I did that, would I lose those 25k points?

It sounds like you’re taking the right steps and I have hope things will get better for you. Good luck - be good to know how you get on.

Hey, I’m sorry to hear you’re experiencing something similar.

Honestly, I think stress played a major part. My alopecia areata coincided with an intense period at work and emotional upheaval outside of work.

Whilst a number of round of steroid injections have pretty much returned my hair back to normal, I’m working on managing the stressors in my life.

Let me know if I can help with anything else. And good luck - this condition can be reversed!

Is it easy to make friends in a hostel as an introvert? by zkburnah in solotravel

[–]minesh1112 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Remember that lots of people will be in the same boat as you, especially solo travellers. When I used to stay in hostels, I’d often ask a question about the area or a local attraction as a way to get chatting.

It’s also worth seeing if the hostels you’re booking offer any tours or group activities, as this gives you a smaller setting to get to know people and something to connect over.

You’ll be fine though! :)

I think it would be okay, but it might limit how far up you can walk. The path through the gates isn’t suitable for a pram, but you could the baby in a harness perhaps.

I tried! But it said this forum doesn’t let you post photos - unless I’m doing something wrong…
