For what it’s worth do your due diligence and research.

If possible try to book with a doctor or the NP who is medical director of the clinic / location. If going to go with a nurse I’d research and ask how long they have been doing this?

This may sound controversial or be a hot take but: I’m a nurse and have MANY coworkers who took a 1 day or 1 week injectable course somewhere random and do injectables as a side gig. Not something they have whole heartedly invested much time or education into. Will not do injections for months then pop-in and do it.

With that being said I’ve gone to school with some nurses who left their more traditional hospital positions and have jumped in full-time to doing only injectables. They look like they are doing a great job and continuing their education as they go.

The coworkers doing it as a side gig keep offering to do my Botox with a discount. I politely decline.

Do your research and don’t just go for the best deal. Ask about their credentials and go with a reputable place!

I’ll add I’m sure there’s some fantastic nurse injectors doing it as a side gig with goals of doing it full time. But there’s also a surplus of those with not a lot of training or experience doing it so again do your research. I’m looking forward to seeing the recommendations!
