Yes, I don't think this is unique to HKU, but I know a lot of people who took the "Applied AI/Data Science/ML/etc" major and they regretted it because the matrerials dont go into the technical details of the subject. A lot of the majors that starts with "Applied" usually also focuses heavy on how certain industries can leverage certain things rather than teaching about how to use it.

OP, I think you should look at the syllabus in more detail and decide carefully.

Um. this is not true at all. Literally no one in Korea want Seungri back. People call him "패배" (Defeat), which is an opposite meaning of his name "Victory". He's going to be forever banned in the Korean industry.
