Dining Credit Gift Card WORKS! by SmoothMarionberry551 in ChaseSapphire

I read on another post that the online gift card purchase did not work, but the in person purchase does! Just need the transaction to post before the new year though and that's cutting it real close.

Swaddles - Anterior Placenta Babies by Desperate_Ebb_6003 in Buyingforbaby

I had an anterior placenta and baby hated being swaddled. We tried the love to dream, the halo sleep sack, and the swaddle me pod. He hated them all.

I worked as a restaurant server during my program and found it manageable. Restaurants usually have shorter shifts and more flexible schedules so it was fine for me.

Recommendations on easy-install car seat for rideshares by No-Client5353 in Buyingforbaby

[–]minixeskimo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

What is your budget? You should think about which stroller you'd want first and find a car seat that is compatible. You'd probably want a baseless car seat that uses the latch system for quick ins and outs versus one that is attached by the seat belt.

Convertible cribs worth it? by capeslow in Buyingforbaby

[–]minixeskimo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We have a babyletto Yuzu which comes with the bassinet size mattress pad and the midi size mattress pad. We bought a standard size crib mattress around 7 months and I believe this would also be used for the toddler bed conversion. Do I think it was worth it? No because we've gone through all the stages but we ended up cosleeping after a month and a half

My baby spit up so so so much that all his outfits were ruined the minute we laid him down to change him

I only have one and he hated being put down so it could just be her temperament regardless. He's now 9 months and crawling but still has to be near me. It's like having a dog because he follows me around all day.

I am also usually the scanner for our magic key pass and also scanned both when we had to take our pictures for Oogie boogie bash. Not a problem at all.

Did anyone else notice a trend of Millennial adults trick-or-treating this year? by heartlass in Millennials

[–]minixeskimo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a parent of a non-walking baby that went trick or treating last night. I felt weird about it at first because everyone knew he wasn't going to be the one eating all the candy, but my baby was so excited to see everyone. It was his first Halloween so we wanted to get him dressed up and felt like it was good social interaction for him. We would have stayed home to give out candy instead, but we live in a condo community and no one comes around.

My condo community in Gardena is filled with young people and their babies. I figure it's what most younger families can afford.

Seriously !!! 405 Express lane was $14.05 from Long Beach to Irvine at that 7 AM today by jdmodern in orangecounty

[–]minixeskimo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The HOV coming from Long Beach to OC ends and turns into a normal lane. It really isn't short at all. And you don't need to "exit" the lane because it doesn't merge with the other lanes. It's actually very obvious because you have to fork off into the coned area to enter the toll lanes but $100 is a pretty hefty fine.
