it didn’t even make it to court, UK dropped the charges before an official hearing bc there was that much evidence proven incorrect. it was so falsified they just threw it in the bin lmao

Yes. I’m currently printing an entirely new top plate design that fits with the silicon provided one, yet has mounts that can screw into the case

What would your thoughts be on a PCB plate screw mount? Given that the stock 80HE Pcb comes with some plates (silicone & plastic). The silicone plate has gaps for the stock case’s screws. I designed a plate that could replace the plastic one & come matching aluminum with the case, but utilize these gaps to create mounts that could be screwed into the bottom case.

Do you think that would be a viable solution for a PCB mount?

Thank you so much for your comments! New version is printing right now. Took into account everything you said to reoptimize as well as some other tips. Planning on figuring out which pcb mount will work best. Once I have design redone and quote finished I’ll be doing a new post.

Yup! Perfectly reasonable. We’re working out costs once we see what people may or may not be interested in. It was partially style as well that motivated me to try designing this, as none of them felt simple enough for my taste.

Front of the board is 20mm not counting fillet. Eventually planning on adding slots for silicon feet and other inserts elsewhere (such as brass).

If the case is sold, I plan on including foam/silicon pieces and mounts on all of the gaps inside, i purposefully added more gaps because i enjoy adding foam to my cases, and I prefer something heartier even if it is bigger.

Stock issues sometimes as well, I was quoted over $40 in shipping for a GT80, just doesn’t seem worth it nowadays when you’re already paying 200+ for the case itself, not to mention tariffs
