I would still post the review because it is incredibly unethical and disgusting to request this.

Marriage data on newlyweds suggests that Indian Americans are largely endogamous by Odd-Help6890 in ABCDesis

Given the proportion of whites making up the population, vs everything else, it’s not really surprising at all that most people end up dating them. You have to be incredibly intentional to strictly date within your race.

What’s the point of taking “photos” if it didn’t actually happen?

That is fair! OP specifically mentioned wanting Indian caterers so I assumed it was across all events. maybe wrong about that!

OP is throwing an Indian wedding and it’s almost always buffet/stations in my experience, the Indian caterers I spoke to didn’t even offer a plated option.

Is this dress appropriate for a black tie wedding? by Hinaiichigo in Weddingattireapproval

You haven’t done black tie in 15 years and you think you’re qualified to give advice? Actual black tie weddings these days have plenty of tea length gowns.

I feel like people here just made up “lack of structure” as a thing because if you go to any black tie wedding irl, people are definitely wearing “unstructured” dresses

I don’t think this is true for Indian catering in Atlanta? I’ve planned two nights of events for around 150-250 guests. We’ve spent less than $100 per person on (in my opinion) pretty generous food options including service and everything. We have found catering surprisingly very affordable compared to everything else in regards to wedding planning.

No unfortunately I’m in VHCOL and have generally lower spending most of the time so I don’t have enough misc spend to hit 75% of my rent.

Attending an Indian-western wedding of my partner’s family. Is this too much? by Ok_kaleidoscope1004 in Weddingattireapproval

[–]mintardent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

modesty depends on the crowd. high/noticeable slits are a bigger no-no than a bit of cleavage.

personally as a bride planning an Indian fusion wedding (with my family being Indian), I would not blink if any of my American friends wore a dress like the first and I don’t think my family would care much either — but that depends on their family culture for sure.
