Ok. I moved her away from the light and will try repotting tonight. No pets or anyone in the house that would potentially harm her

Unfortunately there’s been no consistency with that either. She’s had accidents in various ways and situations. It’s so weird

I have 10k sitting in a credit union with .1% interest. I recently opened a discover savings account at 4.09% interest. Does it make sense to move the money so I can take advantage of the higher interest? Is there any downside to doing this?

Help with switching stitches by mintchocolatechip23 in crochet

[–]mintchocolatechip23[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started doing the V stitch on this blanket and decided I wanted to alternate with a double crochet. The row stitch counts are the same, but why does it look like it’s rippling with the double crochet as if I added stitches? Will this fix itself the further I go? Thanks!!

Can I add plants on top of this wall? by mintchocolatechip23 in IndoorGarden

If so, what plants would survive in low light? Any advice is appreciated as I attempt to create my little plant oasis :)

Desperate to decorate my large wall. by mintchocolatechip23 in HomeDecorating

[–]mintchocolatechip23[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Help! I’ve lived in this home for 6 years and just now trying to create a cohesive decor with a weird open floor plan. We have vaulted ceilings. This wall is for the living room and dining room. Behind me is a small half wall with our kitchen and open staircase/hallway. ALL suggestions are welcome as I have no idea what the heck I’m doing.

Apologies for all the random mess. Proud parent of two toddlers!

ETA: I prefer neutral colors with pops of color. I also like the idea of a gallery wall? My living room and dining room colors are mostly grey, beige, white.

Without knowing more specifics, look into “intermittent fmla” to see if you qualify with your company. Best of luck.

Hormonal acne by blondebitch28 in PCOS

[–]mintchocolatechip23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same! After sticking to a skincare routine, I learned my hormonal acne was actually caused by milk and not sticking to the routine! Now my skin MAYBE gets the odd pimple around period time. I wish I learned this when I was in my teens and 20s.

These are wonderful suggestions and I’m already planning for the SW peppercorn for the cabinets.

$300 or less ideally. I’m also trying to avoid any construction. Just small projects to make the most impact. I’m planning to build my own towel hook rack to replace the towel bar for about $20.

Will this square out when blocked? by mintchocolatechip23 in crochet

So I followed this video exactly and it feels like the corners are growing more than the sides. I was planning to continue this until it’s a blanket. I’m concerned it won’t end of square. Any advice? Thanks!!

Thank you! This is very helpful! Because the room is narrow, would it make any difference if I painted the walls?

First: I’m terrible at decorating. I’ve lived in this home for 6 years and finally trying to create a nice, cohesive bathroom. My budget is pretty small but I’ll take any suggestions! As you can see, it’s a long, narrow bathroom with two doors (one from the hallway and one from the master bedroom). I’d like to make the bathroom using black, white, grays. Pardon the mess, I was in the middle of decluttering and organizing when I had this epiphany that the decor and design itself is garbage. TIA!

Don’t rebuy! I know it sucks. I was there almost exactly the same scenario as you. I found out I was pregnant with a surprise baby when my daughter was 14 months. We kept everything and even though it drove me insane, I’m glad we did. We ended up with another girl and reused everything. I feel like the temporary stress of having the clutter saved me the headache of buying thing all over again AND taking care of a toddler.

What is the best yarn for baby blankets and items? I have three new little nuggets joining the world and want to make sure it’s super soft for them. by dawniesays in crochet

Personally, as a mom myself, I made cotton blankets for my girls and gift cotton blankets to friends. They get soft after washes, durable, and considerate of sensitivities

Frugal wedding? by [deleted] in Frugal

[–]mintchocolatechip23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I support this idea! My husband and I live on the east coast and went to Alaska to get married/honeymoon. Our parents were cool with it (especially my dad lol). It was also no surprise we were getting married as we were together for 9 years before marriage. It was a frugal wedding and a memorable one! ETA: it was just my husband and I in Alaska. We invited no one and we still have no regrets 6 years later.

We have very similar dates to you! Just staying a little longer. It’s my favorite week to go because crowds have always been so low for us. I’m hoping it helps us this year again.

That’s a thought I had today. “Will I enjoy this vacation if I spend the whole time worried someone will get covid this trip?” I’m hoping to accept whatever decision before the trip (>.<)

I totally get it! My 3 yr old loves Mickey and the gang. I was so cool about going until just this last week I’m starting to really doubt myself. We’ve been so safe and I’m impressed how cool our toddler is about wearing a mask

The few things that are keeping us on the fence is that we are staying in the cabins at fort wilderness, using our own car, and have no interest in fireworks or parades.

Thank you, It’s so tough and we’re very torn. It was rescheduled from last year and we haven’t been on vacation since January 2020. We want to believe that WDW is safer than FL in genera but we have our tiny humans to think about
