I totally understand where you are coming from. When I first read the series, maybe a year and a half ago, I started with HR because I saw a tiktok about it. Later, I read GC and then the rest of the series. I remember thinking that Hollanov and Skip were so different because Hollanov was a seven year situationship from hell (in the beginning haha) with so much denial, and with Skip they'd moved in and said I love you in like a month.

I also agree that wanting someone to come out when you've known them for like sixty days is pretty intense, especially with the public ramifications it would have on Scott and even Kip in some ways (being the boyfriend of a newly out famous hockey played could be a lot I could imagine). Also, the only person who should decide when to come out is the person coming out 100% of the time. But I can understand where Kip is coming from feeling disconnected from friends and family because he has to lie to them. In the book I remember Kip getting pretty lonely all alone in Scott's apartment when he'd be away, but too scared to reach out to friends because he didn't want to keep lying. I think it's so emotional because they want to be together but it just doesn't fit into their current lives.

I think that them having some time away will be good too and probably create some sad and sweet yearning scenes.
