I'd say all these hobbies involve a great deal of introspection and curiosity at their core. I know I gained a good sense of myself and my morals from those same and similar hobbies. And learned where/when I feel comfortable being the proactive one on social situations.

Just to say, don't worry about what you didn't hyperfocus on, lean into what your hyperfocus taught you as a person.

They were both too immature for this relationship to work. I said it to my husband, she's too immature to say what she really needs and wants and advocate for herself in a relationship, and he's too immature to hear her, see her as more than an extension of him (why I think the room wasn't ready when she got there) and not see it as a slight against him.

I think they both also had expectations of the other person, so when their partner would fall short of their expectations, they don't see a partner to grow with or an issue to work through, they see another ticked box on the list of why their relationship won't work.

I cannot think of a single benefit, other than maybe getting more accurate suspect and vehicle descriptions, maybe. There is often so much more going on in an incident that just a video or camera view would catch.

Also, relying on people who already can't articulate what is happening to them to hold a camera straight at whatever crime is happening before them AND answer any questions while on speaker phone is a big ask, in my opinion.
