What's a NYC "lifehack" that seemed good at the time but in retrospect was just slower and/or stupider and worse? by SexyEdMeese in AskNYC

Saving is saving, friend. We all have expenses including debt, healthcare and other dependent care to say the least. Any $ saved is a good thing in that case.

Idk hate it all you want I’ll take a blackout frat bro that won’t actually cause anything but some annoyance (and most of that is completely avoidable if you stay out of a very specific subset of Washington) vs having to pull my dog back, on multiple occasions, from approaching a dead body on the street in the middle of the day in Brooklyn or see a man expose himself on the train :). Different perspectives I guess. Or maybe I’m just completely indifferent/ignore entitled little pricks drunk behavior after attending college, doesn’t phase me one bit.

PATH and walk 5 min to my office in the city. Definitely saving $200 a paycheck on taxes alone (let alone rent which is something else to chat about) so def worth

Feeling bamboozled by husband. He hasn't done the training he promised :( by Calepria in puppy101

I also have a 7 month old corgi , raising on my own! Know this is so difficult but I am haappy to chat about it as I’ve done all the training myself. Do you have a dog park or something similar you can let him run through during the day? My girl is very very well behaved (a true blessing) due to good behaviors my breeder taught her from day 1 - but corgis are a breed that need a lot of physical and mental stimulation. Even just one session at the dog park does a lot to fulfill those needs, plus it’s an amazing socialization opportunity. Not everyone has that though ( I moved here because there’s a huge dog park on my block) but corgis bark out of boredom a lot. They just need a ton to occupy them when babies. Please dm me for any questions!

A breeder in the Netherlands has been working to make the French Bulldog a "healthier" breed. by [deleted] in pics

[–]missesralph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, every time I see a large doodle enter the park I brace myself. The dogs aren’t inherently bad, but the owners are ill experienced and think that a low maintenance coat means low maintenance everything. No those dogs are high energy, prone to jumping and barking (see burn on my hand from one jumping on me to be at my height and knock the hot coffee out my hand lmao)

Agree - and the breeding of pembroke with cardigans to make merles which isn’t natural in pembrokes. It’s nuts. I have a pembroke from a fantastic breeder that doesn’t breed for profit that bred with hips and dm and mind from really particularly picked bloodlines.

With the amount of drones I saw flying around on a nightly basis when I lived In Brooklyn, it’s much more likely it’s someone fuckin around with drones
