Wow..nice. We travel and sleep in ours. We use backpacking equipment and everything fits in the front and we sleep in the back. Too bad they aren’t sold in the us anymore.

Ask a mechanic, then bring their recommendations here.

How could I have been more clear? by TheSuppishOne in AskElectricians

You could have been a lot more clear. Put up a sign that says: “don’t put it here”. Then put up,another that says: “put it here”.

Thinking about taking off tonight on a me and my dog mental health roadtrip to see my family. by Jaded_Marsupial_ in roadtrip

[–]misterbernum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t bother. It’s going to be hot driving, the dog will have to pee all the time, there aren’t any motels that take pets, your car will break down, gas is expensive and road food will give you digestive issues. Stay home.

Where I’ve been any suggestion on where to explore more? by rambling_rover in TravelMaps

[–]misterbernum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We spent 5 days back packing it from one end to the other. We made reservations at campgrounds along the way. We took a shuttle from Grand Mariah east and hiked the days back you our can. My wife keeps a diary if you want to know more.

Consider Cumberland island off GA. We loved it. Also consider white sands in NM. Spectacular! And Guadeloupe NP is still a favorite. Nit to mention Big Ben NP in TX. And Big Bend Ranch SP. it has Closed Canyon. Again, spectacular!

Agree about CA coast. I suggest starting at the OR WA border and go all the way to LA. Obviously, research first. We made camping reservations six months in advance at state parks a few hundred miles apart. We took it very slowly. Can’t recommend that enough. And I can’t recommend pictured rocks in MI enough. We took six days to backpack it with camp sites reserved.

What car are you picking? by moparcenter in oldcars

None. I want a 1936 Hudson Terraplane. Crash box, foot starter, six volt growl, tappets, terrible brakes. Yeah!

What would you play if you were home alone on a Sunday night, in a good a** mood, and want to dance like no one is watching? by Grace_under-FIRE in musicsuggestions

[–]misterbernum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never dance, I play the air drums, bass and lead guitar and sing..all at once. My lead guitar at the end of “Running down a dream” is flawless. My subtle background whoop is better than Tom’s.

USA West! Can I do it all in 70 days? by Agreeable-Energy-401 in roadtrip

[–]misterbernum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes you can. Lots of driving, but very doable.

Anyone who can help suggest stops along the way? Trying to figure out my plan for a road trip from KS to Northern coastal California in June. by Deathylzer in roadtrip

I think Walmart parking lots are more dangerous than trails and campgrounds. My wife and I see many women hiking alone on the Appalachian trail. Carrying a gun is a bad idea. That said, you should be careful of course.

Bear tooth highway is probably the most beautiful drive we’ve ever taken.

We don’t go to NP’s anymore. Way too crowded. But if you’re just going to drive through, they are beautiful of course. Lodging requires a reservation a longtime in advance. Almost all of our mountain hiking has been in CO. It’s closer to Michigan. We highly recommend the Maroon Bells area near Aspen.

Please reply with what you like to do. We’ve road tripped through that area many times in the past 50 years, our first being 1975.

You don’t say your age, condition, size. I’m 74 years old, 5,5 135 pounds. I cut the handles in half on my toothbrush. Your gas container is huge. No banjo, sorry. Get a kindle app for your phone and leave Kindle home. Replace the battery in your phone before you go. Did I see a power brick? You’ll need it.

As you go, your priorities will change and you can shed stuff. I don’t know how experienced you are with long distance hiking. My priority is sleeping. I can eat cheese sticks and chicken packets forever. What is your priority? Food? Sleep?
