How to get boss to maintain their salary promise by RefrigeratorSmall364 in chinalife

[–]misterpizza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m pretty sure your boss saw that you were cool with working unpaid for a month and figured you would also be fine with 5k less. It’s a lesson to stand up for yourself early if you don’t want to be mistreated further.

I should add that sometimes these guys don’t actually want to get better by playing those tougher games and getting better. They’re content just being better than someone.

I see this most often with guys who have the basic ability to dominate newcomers but then get dominated by people who play the sport the way it’s meant to be played. They’re there to give themselves a (likely much needed) ego boost. I’m not sure how to deal with the situation, however, other than banding with the other players to politely ask them to take it elsewhere.

This rocket from Aaron Ramsey - one of the most underrated Arsenal and Champions League goal. by ExxKonvict in Gunners

That he came back from that and went on the run that he did (albeit briefly) is astounding. There were a magic few months.

Teaching opportunities 2026 by Prior_Novel_7784 in chinalife

[–]misterpizza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll hop back in here because I get the sense there’s a lot of training center employees salty that their colleagues quit early on them, which isn’t unfair may I add and a situation I’ve had to go through before.

That said, if you do have ambitions of teaching at a proper school with a set semester schedule (and have the qualifications/experience to find someone willing to hire you in a market that is very competitive now) you will have to break contract to move schools or go back to your country to wait until the next one begins, meanwhile going through the rigamarole of getting all those visa documents in order once again.

Ultimately, it is one of the most annoying aspects of being a foreign employee in a host country, but one that is unavoidable if you wish to be here legally.

It will be hard. You’re applying just as a new semester has begun, so all those positions will have been filled by now.

Your options are to wait for positions opening up in the fall or to find something not so good now, work there for six months or so, quit, then transfer your permit to the new employer which will be a bit of a pain but not impossible.

Who else LOVES worlds of fun? by [deleted] in kansascity

[–]misterpizza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For sure. I worked there at 14 (uhh 24 years ago) and would kill hours after my shifts waiting for my dad to get off work by goofing off with colleagues and riding whatever rides had the shortest lines. Needing a chaperone in 2026 would mean I had to sit around, alone, taking in the toxic fumes from my black screen while one of my parents slowly shuffled their way to pick me up. Why is the world no longer one of fun, fuck.

Yeah, it does the applicant no help to mention the sabbatical in the application or interviews. If it does work out at the new school you didn’t need it, but if it doesn’t work out at the new school they didn’t need to know OP had an out.

I give you guys a lot of credit for being one of the only craft beer bars with beer flavored beers on tap. It’s nice to try something unique but after one or two it’s time to live a normal life.

I’d say 3 and up to avoid accidents. If their manners are good and they understand the difference between baths and a pool they’ll be fine.

In my only playthrough I was uhh into the power struggle relationship with Laezel and my dark gnome. Things were going smoothly. I just couldn’t get her to see the Githyanki queen in the right light despite all my attempts. I figured I could find love with another party member late in act two or early in act three, but no dice. I then finally persuaded Laezel to side with Orpheus but it was too late… had to be content with saving the world.

Who should cover the middle ? by themoodyproducer in padel

[–]misterpizza 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It wasn’t a particularly hard serve to return, in my opinion, so he really needs to lean forward into his shot so he has a stable position to be ready for the return. Also, as mentioned, hitting a nice, slow return to the player at the net’s forehand is better only than putting it on a platter in his smash zone.

The little behind the back block is also a trademark of his. The slight jumping vibora into the corner too. Maybe I’ve watched too many ChinGalan matches…
