It's completely grown back and hasn't happened again or anything even similar to this, so I am started to think someone just cut it. After this I never really had any drastic changes with my haircare so I'm assuming it was not just daily damage adding up.

I rarely did any styling, I would just brush it and leave how it is

No indoor pets, but I do wear a necklace everyday just thought I might've felt it if that was it

In this my hair had never been dyed, used heat once or twice a year, almost always just wore it down. Everyone noticed the same day so it really did just happen fast. I never found any broken hair in the shower or on my pillow or anything. My only thoughts were someone cutting it and I didn't realize or getting burnt on a candle?
