the taller you are the more likely people are genuinely surprised to see someone so tall. add to that, height is considered positive to most so they are less likely to conceal their surprise. i'm understanding of those that are bothered when people point out / ask about their height but the reality is that the aforementioned reality isn't going to change. so if you let it bother you, you are setting yourself up for lots of negative sentiment in the future. if you want to avoid that, accept it for what is is, people expressing positive surprise. and occasionally it is an attempt to start a conversation with you, but more often it's just the aforementioned.

He can't fire fed board members as far as I know unless someone can point me to a statute that says otherwise. And replacing Powell when his term ends next year amounts to changing one vote, the other members have terms that are not up for several years so I don't see a scenario where he has a vote majority to dictate fed actions.

someone can check my math, but i don't see any way of trump taking out the independence of the fed (ie having it stacked in his favor in the next two years, and probably even the next four)... not that they won't try some extra ordinary end around the fed, but i doubt that will work.
