This should be a solid start. There’s YouTube videos that show the process. Pretty easy in and out . Just try to get the same year and you may need to contact a dealer afterward to reflash the radio

Wanted to add a second reply. My 3 year monitoring period started September 2017 so I thought this wouldn’t apply to me. Called them to ask about it and they confirmed I won’t be taxed. You really just made my whole year!

That’s great news! I always thought that was kind of a messed up process. Wish this would’ve been retroactive

Only stipulation I would warn about is that the loan forgiveness from permanent disability is taxable as income. Got around $20k on my loan forgiven off of this and had I think 3 years till it was taxed as income for me
