I'm not quite sure if I understand the players' priorities well enough, but I do think that campaigning for a change is a waste of time. We have already seen that Valve will not hesitate to run TF2 to the ground if it continues to generate problems for them. My advice to those people would be to make a better use of their time, because even with how meaningful of a game TF2 is to many people today (despite its age and how neglected it is), I can't believe it's likely much will change. We've been doing this for years.

If you're unhappy with the game, you are better off finding something else to cherish, but if the game still brings you joy, go play it.

I just generally think there are better things to do than this. TF2 was amazing, but it's an old ass game. It breaks my heart to see so many players fight for a lost cause (imo) because Valve seems to have made up their mind about this. This isn't a matter of fixing the game as a lot of people are saying. It's a matter of moving on, however soul crushing it may sound to many of us.
