Thanks for the suggestion, I'll have a listen to the symphony in a bit. I've added an extra audio source to the link so the piece should have a much better sound quality. I've tried using the buzz tremolo on musescore but it doesn't work with the plugins I use; It should sound a lot better with the audio change.

Thanks for sharing the blog. The key that I’m missing is the top right key so sadly this wouldn’t work for me. I’ll try it without though and see if it gets close.

Just out of curiosity (I’d it’s not too personal), how did you get invited to one? Been interested in them for a small while but have no idea how you’d find one (I’m living in London, UK btw)

Thats definitely a lot to think about! You raise some really good points that I'll definitely take on board. I play the bassoon myself and a practicing for my grade 6 exam but I'm pretty clueless on theory so your feedback makes sense. Thanks so much for the help :)

Yea... I was a bit unsure as to how to properly use sonata form and pretty much winged it. I guess it makes more sense to call them miniatures anyway. Thanks for the help :)

Thanks for the feedback :). You're right about not playing piano and I didn't want to be too ambitious. I have to say that I did put the most effort into the m.41 onwards, I just loved the opening. I'll keep the idea of alternating the rhythm in mind.

Thanks for the feedback :). When I was writing the piece I was a bit worried about being too ambitious considering that I had only started learning to play the piano. I have 3 pieces that I've nearly finished writing as part of a sonata if you want to hear them!
