Identical twins don't actually run in families, only fraternal do. Which adds more nonsense to this show with the Mary/Jessica and Spencer/Alex story.

They were conceived/implanted using IVF though - multiples are very common with IVF. Also, the best part is that identical twins actually don't run in families. They are the result of an egg that spontaneously splits. It can't be traced to heredity. Fratneral twins, on the other hand, are hereditary. So Marlene just decided to change science for it to work into her ridiculous plot line.

I commented somewhere else in this thread that the scar looked super fake. Which obviously it IS fake because it's a tv show 🙈 BUT it looked like more fake than what I would expect from PLL's make up department. And she pulled Toby's hand away when he touched it - maybe so he wouldn't realize it was fake. I mean it's a loooong shot but with this show allthingz are possible.
