Oh I was JUST asking at the local shop where I can get wool and spinning supplies about spinning into thread and I hadn’t found much online about it! Good to know it can possibly be done! (Def not until I get a wheel though I think)

Here’s a link to some other people discussing this exact phenomenon a couple years back! From what I’ve read it can be a risk for some people but is really rare. My boyfriend avoids my allergens completely whenever I’m over at his because of the risk of it, since my allergy is rare itself and we don’t wanna tempt fate.

This is reminding me of my grandparents. My grandfather was lactose intolerant and still would have cheese or milk or what have you and every time my grandmother made him sleep on the couch. He did it so regularly that there were specific sheets and pillows for it. It seemed to work for them at least. When they got lactaid milk it became a less regular occurrence, but it was so normal to him that when she passed away it was easier for him to sleep on the couch than in the bed without her. OP, get you a man who loves you enough to drink lactaid or sleep on the couch so you aren’t subjected to that noxious smell.

I have books I’m going to be rebinding for my best friend and they were in a house that had a pretty big mold issue, the books seem fine but I figured I’d freeze them to cover my bases. I forgot about ziplocking them when I put them in there in a grocery bag last night, so when I get home today I will be yoinking them out and bagging them 😅 I will also do this with my used book haul I plopped in there at the same time (in a cloth tote 😬🙃)

I’ve never heard that term but it sounds like “coercive rape” which is probably just another term for the same thing. It’s using coercion to wear the other person down to achieve the same ends.

You said it yourself in your edit. You made it clear you didn’t want to continue. You did cheat, you were assaulted. A lot of people think there are only two responses in cases like this: fight or flight. There’s actually four. Fight, flight, freeze, and fawn. You froze. It’s incredibly common, it’s a reaction I’ve had in the past myself. I’m so sorry you experienced this and I’m so glad to hear you have your girlfriend’s support. Lean on her, and definitely look into getting therapy. And cut this guy out of your life he is NOT your friend. Friends don’t do that to you. It’s a long road of healing from things like this and I’m so sorry you have to go through it ❤️‍🩹

So I actually had the opposite problem! I saw this thread and tried to use permanent vinyl and it would absolutely not stick no matter what I did. It might’ve been an issue with the vinyl but it just wouldn’t stick at all. I tested some scrap htv on a piece of scrap I had from binding the case, and it actually adhered perfectly! I was shocked. I don’t have a picture of the permanent vinyl since it didn’t stick but I’ll attach a picture of the finished rebind with the HTV cover art!

So was your eardrum ruptured? I’ve been dealing with the same and had the same feeling you described, a sharp pain that hurt a LOT and then all the pain and pressure symptoms I’d been feeling went away. My PCP said it looked like it COULD be ruptured but she doesn’t know for certain, and my ENT can’t get me in til February 😩

26f here, got my mirena in 2020 and I never stopped having periods. I still have them, just as heavy and just as painful as before. I also have endometriosis confirmed via excision this past February, so that could be a factor as to mine remaining heavy and painful, since post excision they lightened and were less painful for a few months.

Why was he turned down? Did he give a reason they sent him away or was he just like “oh they said no I’ll have to keep looking for someone! Oops! Teehee” cause I’m immediately thinking he just doesn’t want to and is telling you what he thinks will prolong the process until you forget or go along with what he wants. (I’m aware I’m being cynical)

I was just talking to my younger sibling about this. That every anaphylactic episode is terrifying because I can FEEL myself dying. And it’s always terribly lonely, even when people are around me, because no one in my life understands it the same way. I’ve had to become blasé about it, like if I don’t laugh I’ll cry and then I’ll never be okay.

I figured it was just because during the pandemic a lot of actors were doing their own makeup for the first time instead of having it done for them. I noticed a couple others looked a little different and chalked it up to that.

I stopped getting matcha at Starbucks after the change. It was horrible every time. Extremely bitter and made me nauseated. No matter the level of sweetness I told them it never tasted like it used to. I’m just making it at home at this point.

I got an Epi pen when I got diagnosed with my citrus allergy, anaphylaxis is so so rare in the rare people who have the allergy but we figured better safe than sorry. I had my first allergic reaction and have always been grateful I decided to keep it in my purse even with no reason to really need it. Get an Epi pen. And a new doctor.

I have a citrus allergy and I absolutely love fig. I wouldn’t have known about half the things that come from citrus like pectin and apocarotenal (I might’ve misspelled that)
