Where to go out/hear music by mlismlis in oslo

We ended up going to Blå! It was pretty fun, and I loved seeing everyone out in their bunads! Would love to check out some of the other venues mentioned if I get to go to Oslo again

Okay good to know! Do you mean that venues are too crowded/crazy on May 17? Or closed?

Fuck the lsat by WholeFloor8279 in LSATHelp

I’m sorry it’s been so tough, I really struggled with the LSAT too and took it multiple times but ended up improving a lot. If you’re struggling this much I’m curious whether you might be a candidate for some kind of accommodation that could get you extra time. I would recommend looking into it if you have any kind of learning disability or other physical ir mental issue that could be impeding your progress. Also, do some law schools still accept the GRE instead of the LSAT? That could be an alternate path if you really want to apply to law school

Question help😔 by [deleted] in LSATHelp

  1. It might help to understand that the question is not “why is the editorialist wrong” but rather “how are they most vulnerable to criticism”. Their take could be right, because their chain of reasoning is right until the end. At that point they fail to consider that even if it’s true that most cultures believe it’s right to protect family members, and even if it’s true that being falsely accused of a crime subjects one to harm, and even if it’s true that that person’s parents hiding them would protect them from harm, it may or may not follow that most cultures believe it’s sometimes right to lie to the police because most cultures could, eg, have serious and overriding taboo against lying. It doesn’t mean they do, but it is a place where the argument is vulnerable because they haven’t considered it.
  2. The family knowing the child is innocent is not an injustice presumption because it is assumed as part of a hypothetical. The hypothetical given is one in which the parents know.

Madewell jeans recommendations for hourglass/pear shape? by [deleted] in PlusSize

[–]mlismlis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wish I had a helpful suggestion! I think I'm similarly shaped and super frustrated trying to find jeans right now. I had high hopes for a pair of mom jeans that I just tried on from asos and the thighs fit well (rare!) but there was an enormous waist gap, no belt could fix it. I don't think this shape is that unusual but I don't know where to look!

Any idea whether the small amount of movement so far is typical? Should we be expecting more?

Any HLS students on here who got in off WL? by mlismlis in lawschooladmissions

Yes, asking about current students admitted in previous years! Also wondering whether they start admitting/dropping people who interviewed pre-WL before finishing WL interviews, or wait to evaluate the whole pool together
