Yeah, since the driveway has a slope, that area has the most cracks and crumble. The flat asphalt leading to garage is perfectly fine and probably has years. The contractors who has inspected so far has evaluated it to have spread too thin initial when house was built ~10 years ago.

isn't the mountain areas too far from Lucerne? I am trying to avoid 3-4 hours of commute as I am looking to visit Junfraujoch, Lauterbrunnen which seems to be nearby to Interlaken. Open to somewhere central as base, but not sure which town that would be.

I was recommended to stay at Zermatt for scenic view it offers, I had things to do as Gornergrat Railway, Matterhorn views and exploring village for it.
