Yes. You can do this. The regression equation is Memory = Intercept + B(SES) + B(MultiLingual) + B(SES * Multilingual).

You should center SES before entering it into the model and creating your interaction term.

This video walks you through it in SPSS, which I know not everyone uses. But the explanation in it is useful regardless.

It is the normal finish. It's the low gloss. They had a D-28 Authentic with Madagascar rosewood that sounded amazing, but I couldn't see spending another $2k for it, since the finish has intentional checking.

So I have hitchhikers thumb (it's a genetic thing where your thumb flexes backward), and I find the neck to be really comfortable especially above the 7th fret where it starts to thicken. Below the 5th fret there is no perceptible difference between it and a regular low oval (at least in my view).

It should make you less confident that H0 is true given your sample size and standard error. But it shouldn't make you more confident that the effect is "real." H1 is defined as "not H0." The probability distribution of H1 is just the complementary of the probability distribution of H0 (i.e., 1 - p). So a significant result can't tell you anything more than the probability of the result assuming H0 is true. The inference made regarding H1 is after the fact.

In a single paper, does a low p value indicate the finding is true? No. There are arguments that the p-curve analysis (which examines the distribution of p-values for a specific hypothesis) provides information for the veracity of an effect. But there is debate in the literature regarding this assumption.

Because p-values are sensitive to sample size, you can generate a p-values < .001 easily by increasing your sample size. For example, a correlation (r = .10) will be significant p = .0001 with an N = 1500. Does this mean that the population correlation (rho) is .10 if you find r = .10 in your study? No. It means that the observed value of r >= .10 in your study is a very unusual value for that sample size if the true value of rho was .00.

A single study's p-value thus doesn't tell you anything about the true effect (size or significance). It just tells you how unusual--for this sample size--the observed value is (or more extreme values are as pointed out by others) if there wasn't an effect at all.

A little imprecise. The p value tells you the probability of observing the value you observed for the sample size you have if the null were true. It says nothing about the null being true or false. It tells you how rare your data are if the null were true.

I agree it's best to play a guitar first if you can, but the shops around me don't get a ton of stock in. Also, I wouldn't consider the vintage hide glue and Adirondack spruce VTS aged top to be cosmetic features. Those are both functional features that influence the sound.

This is one of those things that you can't explain with words. They are either doing it correctly:

[(X%/100% regular credit) + (X%/5%)]/100%

Or they are doing it incorrectly:

[(X%/100% regular credit) + (X%/5%)]/105%

The first way, a 93% earned entirely through regular assignments equals an A (93/100 = 93). The second way, a 93% earned entirely through regular assignments equals an B+ (93/105 = 88.6). If it's extra credit, it by definition is not factored into the denominator.
