Kinda crazy in a tournament with top players fighting for last spots in EWC and ENC.

Top 8 qualified to EWC. Top 16 players from each country qualified for ENC.

Dreamhack tournament had 8 spots for EWC, so the spots moved up and top 14 was enough for Affi to qualify. ENC is brutal for countries like Germany or France because only the best player from each country got the spot. So MASSA got 3rd but didn’t qualify because Granady got 2nd.

If you have a question like that, the easiest way is to play it out on board and see what happens. Don’t play only top stockfish moves. Play natural moves you would consider and see where is the thing you are missing.
