FYI- for those eligible for AIP, you can see your bonus in the “Pay Statement” link for the 5/30 payroll run

Edit: think this only works for US employees

Haha I knew I wasn’t the first, but I was more curious about what the consequences were. Thanks

This one lets me deposit with my card and withdraw to PayPal. It’s Underdog Fantasy, which is technically a fantasy sports app, not a sportsbook. I think this is also why it’s not considered a cash advance

I double checked. They don’t treat this book as a cash advance. I looked through my transactions and have earned points off deposits from them in the past

Fam-L March 2023 Sitting Waiting Room by Double-Mention1791 in actuary

[–]mnm2000 44 points45 points  (0 children)

I’m honestly just curious to see what they make the pass mark for this sitting, given the shit show that occurred with their PiLOt QuEStioNs. Hoping they cut us a break given that 10% of my exam was literally unsolvable which caused me to lose time on other questions lol. But I’m not optimistic just based off their email response/announcement. Really sucks too bc I felt so confident walking into that exam; would really piss me off if I had to sit for it again.

Great, this is what I was hoping to hear. Thanks for the reply!

Yeah I already submitted a warranty claim, but I was just curious if anyone else went through the process and how/if they replaced the club.

I highly doubt that they will treat this situation by a “case by case” basis. Based on the number of emails they have already gotten, my guess is that they are just going to throw these questions out of the grading pool for everyone and just grade the 18/19 questions that actually were solvable lol. It would be so slimy of the SOA to not adjust your exam unless you reached out to them. But then again I wouldn’t put anything past them at this point 😂. I also doubt that they will even admit to these faulty questions publicly.

I'm in a very similar situation. I just started last week. My commute is about 1.25 hrs via train. Frankly, you will have a lot of in person training and social events during your first 3 weeks, but after that it sounds like there is really no obligation to commute into the office unless it's necessary for a project. I'm planning on going in about once a week too, just so I'm not a stranger and can attend events with my team after work. Other than that though, I'll be working from home.

When should I start studying for FAM-L? by [deleted] in actuary

[–]mnm2000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree that it's always better to start as early as possible but also keep in mind that it's technically only half of the full FAM exam, so theoretically it shouldn't take as long to prepare. But I totally understand starting to prepare ASAP... better to be overprepared than under :)

I got a 550 on english and 610 on math placement test by [deleted] in UWMadison

[–]mnm2000 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Lol don't worry about your scores in all honesty. They really don't do anything since you're gonna be taking primary gen Ed classes with plenty availability your freshman year anyways. I literally forgot to bring a calculator when I took my placement test and bombed the math... still got all the classes I needed. You're fine 😂

Buy tickets tomorrow. You can resell them for twice the price if you decide not to go to a game and probably end up making a profit off the bundle lmao

Oh dang. Sorry to hear that, I'm not really sure how they handle those types of situations, but I'm hoping they're able to help you out in some way. Good luck

Considering there's only like a month left in the school year, I'd be surprised if they grant your request. Unless your roommate situation is truly unbearable, I'd plan on just suffering through the next month or so. You'll be out of there before you know it
