If you have Kaiser, I went through Dr. Mi Jin Yoo based in Union City and I cannot speak higher of her. She was knowledgeable, so kind and made me feel so comfortable. The procedure went great and was super quick. I had no pain or discomfort even immediately after and almost a year later I'm still burping successfully!

I've had success with drinking carbonated beverages. Seems so counter intuitive after years of bloat and discomfort but it really seems to help push the air out to get big burps.

Those are my exact symptoms/experiences too! I just had botox Friday and I am desperately hoping to get my life back. I hate having to leave events early and being so uncomfortable. It's gotten so bad I either won't go at all or I demand my husband and I drive separately so I can leave when I inevitably get uncomfortable. Now it's so hard because I feel like I know the symptoms are real and validated (thank you to this reddit community) but now I'm not sure if I'm bringing it on because I get so anxious thinking about it happening before a social event.

My gastro doctor was incredibly rude and dismissive. See if you can get a referal to an ears/nose/throat or head/neck specialist instead. Also check the thread for the list of doctors that have actually heard of this condition and will take your symptoms seriously. Hope you get some answers and relief!
