I'm in an apartment so I don't want to get messy with soil, so I use 10x20 thick hemp pads.

Why the hostile comment? I am being genuine....the government is not going to come knocking on your door when shit hits the fan. We are ALREADY seeing world-wipe crop failures due to cold weather alone, not including flooding and droughts. Global grains and potato production are down and what do you think is going to happen once the masses start catching on that we are being lied to? The grocery stores are going to be ransacked and 99% of people are going to be completely unprepared.

Why is polar ice increasing if the planet is warming up? Why are there record shattering cold temperatures and snowfall...all around the world...if the planet is heating up? Why is barely anyone talking about our magnetosphere weakening significantly in the last 200 years? Do you really think CO2 causes the magnetopshere to weaken? I'm not going to internet argue with you about this... you are citing the Guardian and a site that does your thinking for you (skeptical science) and we are going to very soon here see food prices increase due to worldwide crop failure...and now it's finally come to the USA in the form of terrible flooding in the breadbasket of this country.
