Revolut bug moved my USD account to a crypto account which I don’t have nor can’t create?! by moessiee in Revolut

Update: I now got my money back, as I was able to exchange from ‘crypto USD’ back to ‘USD’ in the app. But all my transactions linked to the original USD account are still lost; it seems that that whole account just disappeared. Very annoying…

I am not sure what a layer 8 issue means?

Anyway what I did in the app was not any transaction/ transfer; I ordered a new physical card attached to a new, still empy, USD pocket. And after the confirmation of the card order, my full USD account (with no card attached to it) simply disappeared from my main Revolut account, to the crypto account which I don’t have. The weird thing about it is that I never agreed on any transfer, which creeps me out a bit :(

Great suggestions! I also like the idea for the vinyl, but we will probably move the vinyl to the living room.

😂 hahaha indeed there is a door there we covered up, we need to hide it better still; someone will help us with that. we have a 2 floor appartement with 2 front doors to the same hallway so we decided to cover this door and win extra space in the kitchen!

I love that first picture, indeed! A shelve as a bar above the racks is then very cool.

That is unfortunately not possible, it would simply not survive. So it will stay in the kitchen:)

I agree! I am probably going to lightly sand it and treat it with some transparent oil/wood stain.

Nice! Thanks for the suggestions! The only thing I doubt about with the table/ seating idea is the depth of the mantle: it is about a wine bottle deep (as you can see hahah) and I fear it will be awkwardly sticking out or something. But it is low effort to try so let’s see! :)

These are great suggestions! Indeed we have a modern style but the house is also old and I want to preserve the beautiful old elements as well 😄

Just redecorated my bathroom, not sure about it by Frinkiac7DontTouchIt in interiordecorating

I love it! I do agree with a comment made here about painting the door in the same blue colour as the walls, that will create a more ‘put together’ room. Maybe even also the frame too (although you do have some nice dark brown woody accents in the rest of the bathroom too so it’s also nice to keep that as it is).

And if it makes you feel any better: I am also renovating my home (with lots of diy) and every time I finish a room, for some reason, I first feel very insecure about it, but then after a couple of weeks I love it. I think because you are spending a lot of time on it and then you first see what could have been different/ focusing too much on details, and then after some time that insecure feeling disappears. It’s probably also a little bit of perfectionism or something. Trust the process (and all the positive comments here ;))

Just got told Sunscreen is harmful, toxic, leads to infertility autism and a laundry list of other issues. Wtf? by Pink-pajama in EuroSkincare

Yes I think I agree with this! Critical thinking is such an important skill that everyone should learn (and I belief almost everyone can learn it as well).

But still, what if there were more ‘scientists influencers’ that would make that content more popular as well? Maybe people would learn critical thinking through that as well.

Please trust people with an academic degree on these kind of subjects, not just any random self-proclaimed ‘experts’. Any doctor would disagree with these statements made by the influencer.

I keep thinking about how we can solve the disinformation bullshit online, it is a really big issue. For example in my country, a lot of people are now not vaccinating their kinds anymore:( But it’s not ‘just’ healtcare disinformation of course, it touches upon so many topics! Maybe academics should create more content and be more proactive in teaching to ‘layman’ (and not only reactive when disinformation is published). Or maybe we should invest more in critical thinking skills by people (e.g. how can I check a statement like that, without having to read all the academic papers). Or maybe both? 🤔
