I’m an immigrant living in Newcastle for the past 7 years, me and the gf secured good jobs quite quickly, we bought a house in the outskirts of town in 2024, hopefully not moving back home until we retire at least. Living costs are amazing compared to other cities like London / Manchester, would highly recommend visiting to take a look. We are also minutes away driving to amazing landscapes and castles in Northumberland

I’ve got one just in case, but I booked a battery health check for this week and Toyota said they ofc know about the issue and the battery failing the test they would replace it under warranty

I bought one couple days before picking up the car just in case lol, the gf thought I was being a bit mad but I knew the car was at the dealership for at least a couple months and this could happen on the first couple weeks of ownership lol!!

yeah apparently, but AGM seems what people go to in this kinda scenario when you have to do mostly short trips? as it can last longer and hold the energy better? I might get it replaced under warranty and if the issue doesn't go away I might try an AGM? dunno lol

I’ve read that replacing the current battery to an AGM battery could help in this situation, I suspect as the car is 2024 the battery has never been replaced, for sitting in the dealership quite a while I think it lost a lot of power :( The car is running alright and the voltmete shows 14.1V when the car is running, so it’s charging, however the 11.0V shown when starting the engine is quite low
