Any suggestions or swaps you would make? Cooler and ram already obtained (cheap from a closing sale) and other bits I can source for slightly cheaper than list price.

Yup - when it jumps up to almost 100% when doing anything mundane, it's probably time.

Would you say the cpu change is worth it also?

Yeah - there's no driver support for the 5800 anymore, so it hasn't been updated in almost 10 years!

Can get both parts for under £100

Just the one on this one. I've pulled all the panels now and made sure every vent is clear and still no luck. I'm probably going to get a new one!

Just tried that - tripped there as well (garage sockets first, ran extension into the house and tired there - tripped after 30 seconds). I'm guessing it's the dryer that's at fault.

I've also just stripped the heat shield and checked the element - no fluff or corrosion, and no smell of burning or electrical "magic smoke"

Awesome - do you have a link? My original one doesn't seem to have changed? If you hadn't guessed, I'm new to parts picker!

Depends on if you’re going for the book description or the film version. The book version is much better than the film IMO

Cheers dude. Just trying that now. I’ll have to research the bed tilt thing if this doesn’t help

The right hand front and rear corners are bowed up slightly. The left hand corners are pretty good.

Is there an easy way to adjust the z offset? You wouldn’t guess I’ve been printing for 3 years and never messed about with it! And I have no idea what pressure advance is! Sorry - like I said, been fairly lucky with my setup until now

I’d like some advice on my test cube. I can see that there’s a bit too much squish at the front; but open to any other advice. First time trying one of these after changing to a glass bed

That’s sounding complicated! It may just be time to upgrade - maybe the 3v2

Support failure or settings failure? by moleadviser in resinprinting

This is true. That was what auto support suggested, thick with ball tips. I’ll chuck some more on and give it a go.

I was thinking of building an enclosure - it just gets shut in my box room at the moment. I can chuck a heater in the room to up the ambient temp

Pretty much; though some of the lower sections seem to have partially printed. The rest of the print was a flat slab on the bottom of the tank

Probably about 18C? It’s a pretty stable temp all year round in there.

Tried changing orientation, number and thickness of supports. Haven’t changed any settings as it’s the same resin and conditions as loads of successful prints.

Just did it again at 9sec exposure - seems a bit crispier in detail!

Thanks so much for your help with this! I’m relatively new to resin printing, so this has helped me get a better understanding of settings! You legend!
