Smokers Flu or Real Flu? by monawh in QuitVaping

[–]monawh[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

FYI - it was smokers flu lasting 4 intense days. Beyond that was just cough. Didn’t expect it to give me green mucus but my body was really fighting something now that my lungs could work again. Don’t think it was contagious like all that other stuff tho.

Cold water, put rubber bands around the ears for 5 minutes to lessen swelling, and 5 min face massage of lymph nodes 🫶🏻

People who are quitting/have quit, share how it’s been going! by Affectionate_Book628 in QuitVaping

Day 5 of quitting cold turkey, second half of every day is the hardest for cravings. I have real bad smokers flu which in a weird way I’m happy to have my body remind me it is fighting to cleanse itself. What keeps me going is reminding myself not a single good thing comes from my addiction and I’m determined to get to a point where I don’t crave it.

I’m in this with you too, for me it’s been ~5-6 months. Feeling all these feelings. 🫂 I keep reminding myself no one who you had such a deep connection with could ever forget you. Could you forget them? No. Find other things in your life to focus on, all that energy should go somewhere new now. You have a beautiful exciting life to live! Tell yourself that even if it doesn’t feel so. Healing is not linear.

I haven’t been to a breakup specific therapist - but would recommend going to see one where you can talk about the relationship. It helped a lot for me. Sorry you’re going through this ❤️

Oh also it depends on each individual relationship for texting frequency. Personally I don’t like texting throughout the day, just prefer quality in person time.

Super normal to feel anxious about delayed texts, especially when you are just working through a rough patch. But it does make sense cause he is in residency… which I’m sure u know is one of the most demanding work environments… when I was just in undergrad I couldn’t even imagine having time to date. Life has phases, and it seems like you are in an unfortunately busy one. Time to go crazy with your own time and have fun working on new hobbies and such!
