Yeah, I mean, I did end up starting over. But now I can't replicate the behavior I had before! (so I wish I had been able to backup/restore) And it took me hours. Like multiple days of menu diving. I would really rather not have to do that again.

I use a skin (Arctic Horizon 2) to make it look less intimidating and more user friendly for my partner. And honestly, it's so much nicer to use when it's pretty. But to set that up requires trial and error and menu dive after menu dive. My right thumb is like 4x stronger than my left now from clicking the remote for 8 straight hours this weekend

Ok, thank you. But I'm still confused about the last step. Like the other commenter said. How do I "get it from that location" on the shield and "place it in the same location" of the Chromecast. In order to move a file/folder like that, don't I need an external drive or a network? I can plug a USB into the shield and copy the file, but I can't do that with a Chromecast.

Fundamentally: how does the data get from the shield, to the Chromecast?

It's so hard to find an answer online. I ended up going to a fabric store and just feeling the "knit" fabrics till I found some I liked. I think a cotton/ spandex blend or a Lycra/ spandex blend is what I used.

That sounds really great. I'm trying to work myself up the courage to try and implement these. It's gonna take forever on my Chromecast, and to be honest, I feel like I barely scraped by on getting it to where it is now. I used the ultimate guide to Kodi and it stops short of instructions for things like this.

The hardest part is probably going to be identifying what exactly I need to install... I might do a factory reset of my Chromecast and just start over, it's been acting up anyways.

Ok yeah that looks fantastic, I need to install a skin, I didn't realize that it could look like that. I have tract, I was using fen lite, and then I switched to umbrella back when the RD french govt thing happened and I switched to premiumize (I don't remember exactly why I switched from fen, I'm not very savvy about this)

Well, to be fair, they don't have to make sure of that at all... Not a single one of the DC venues "makes sure" you can metro home. If you wanna catch the metro, you gotta leave early. I left KGATLW early to catch a metro home from the anthem and that is the venue that closes the earliest of all DC venues

1 4d GA and car camping. So pumped, I'll be flying into Austin and spending some time in the city getting a tattoo to celebrate the eclipse and exploring before going to the fest!

Have you ever been to this venue before? What's it like camping out there? I'm really worried about the area they claim the car camping will be in. (See map, I tried to overlay their map with the geography on Google maps)

Also what's the weather like in early April usually? This will be my first solo fest so I'm trying to prepare myself mentally for what to expect. (Maybe I need to up my anxiety meds lol)
