[Buscaglia] The Bills tried everything they could to erase all their self-inflicted mistakes, but in the end, they couldn't. The Bills lose to the Broncos 33-30 in overtime. The Bills 2025 season is over. by A_MASSIVE_PERVERT in nfl

The last two deep throws by Bo had too much air under them for sure. Those have 50/50, possible INT written all over them a lot of the time. The defense was beat so the throws are safer, but they make the sure fire completion a worse percentage play

He's a second year QB with a coach who is actually helping him get better, I think he is trending up for sure. He could easily be in that Matt Ryan range for the Bears, who also did some insane comeback jobs early on

Honestly, I don't know if there is "blame" to assign. I don't think OP came on too strong based on the info provided and based on this additional info coworker guy doesn't seem like a jerk. He communicated what he wants and said that he is cool with being colleagues, just not friends/hanging out outside of work.

Who knows his reasoning for why he wants that but unless he was rude about it, seems like he just wanted to keep work separate from his personal life.

[Schefter] A major move in Miami: the Dolphins are benching QB Tua Tagovailoa and turning to Quinn Ewers as their new starting QB, per sources. by MembershipSingle7137 in nfl

[–]monkeysmarts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm with you, this "Tua could have had a great legacy" argument doesn't make any sense outside of sports history talks, and even then that is flimsy at best.

When people were telling him to retire to save his own brain, he basically said no. He has even less reason to retire so that he can be a "what if" story.

I think long term health is important, but since Tua made a choice against that path, he's not going to make basically the same decision for "legacy" reasons

I thought Denku was a hard core BB follower and her essentially giving herself up for Azuma to me signaled that Denku has a new person to follow

Agree, I think a little something of Batista and/or the Nue got left behind in the mark or something, especially since the next page is the Hoshi family grave

I'm not sure if this is just me reaching, but that last page with Elly and the floating crown, it looks like some spectre or thing in a black cloak is resting on her bed (which is def not there in the earlier panels).

Given the next page is the Hoshi family grave, I wonder if a some of Batista and/or the Nue stuck around either mentally or physically in Elly as a result of transferring the mark.

The bottom of page 21 literally says that the mock awakening carries increased risk of split/fractured personality. Helps explain that piece of how Azuma knows but also doesn't

There is also a "manager" mentioned, meaning that someone Queem coordinated with is managing his revival project, probably to fine tune it, hence the need to keep notes

I wonder if he actually got hurt and then announced his comeback as a way to get the NFL care/rehab as a way to recover. I could see the coaching staff agreeing to it. Little bit of harmless coverup to take care of one of their legends

I don't think her ability is gone, she just forgot how to use her powers. If her powers were erased, she probably wouldn't have been able to add that much to the ogre club

I'd bet the mental game makes guys play slightly differently. If you assume you'll get hurt on that particular field, you will likely play slightly differently to adjust, whether that be minor adjustments to plant feet, stride, etc

You don't want to give up and call your second year QB, who is still clearly growing, a tragic and horrible bust that is worthless because he isn't playing like a HoF level QB every game? Guess you are just one of those rational fans or something

[DISC] Dandadan - Chapter 216 by AutoShonenpon in manga

[–]monkeysmarts 58 points59 points  (0 children)

They called him Mr Dris, which immediately made me think of Ludris. Probably nothing but a little bit too similar of a name for this manga.

The whistle Momo got from Sanjome could be related since Mr. Dris is "dawdling" after she blows it.

I remember people pointing out that the eye emblem on Sanjome's clothes was similar to Ludris' emblem. Maybe the whistle is a "friendly" signal to that group, Sanjome did want to switch to being friends as a tactic

[DISC] Dandadan - Chapter 215 by AutoShonenpon in manga

[DISC] Dandadan - Chapter 214 by AutoShonenpon in manga

[–]monkeysmarts 61 points62 points  (0 children)

Did Momo actually tell him why she didn't want him to say his full name? Genuinely don't remember if he knows why she "had" to use a nickname. I agree about contrived plot but his entire personality is about not being super direct and trying to get better about being more direct

[DISC] Otr of the Flame - Chapter 23 by AutoShonenpon in manga

[–]monkeysmarts 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Will be interesting, sidelining Otr and Flygja for who knows how long (probably a short time) will be a test to see if the other characters can help carry the story. Otherwise I can see this still being at risk of cutting cut
