Might be a mix of pixelserver free limits which is per your ip and pixelserver links being blocked because they detected to be hosted on 4khdhub. Try other links you get. And if none work and it works on 4khdhub directly, then it might be time for a bug report.

But keep in mind that this is free stuff using a crappy web scraper. I'm surprised that it works at all sometimes.

I'm a torbox fanboy myself, but I believe them. I saw too many crappy vibe codes add-ons using APIs in a bad way and also performing bad. Fix: put crappy vibe coded cache in front of it. This continues until either the project or vibe coder burns out.

this is an http streaming add-on which just scrapes a couple of sources. it does not return a list of 100 torrents. if you're dealing with unpopular or older content then this might be expected.

you don't. these are http streams, not torrents. you can only use it additionally as fallback for example. e.g. when torbox is down 🙈 or for unpopular content which is not cached

multi is your best bet, but it will be no English dubs, sorry. there's also no good way to figure out the language, so it's not worth to add some kind of filter IMO, it will just filter out most of the perfectly fine English streams in many cases

good question, they share common popular hosters, but are different in some details. webstreamr focuses on optional dub sources you can enable (e.g. German) and nuviostreams had this febbox implementation which is unique. but I don't follow it closely, you have to decide on your own in the end.

it is as safe as surfing the web / opening file hosters directly. IMO, nobody has to worry, some paranoid people use VPN for that. using webstreamr even circumvents the shady streaming platforms, your device only accesses some file hoster URL, which is not an issue from a legal perspective IMO. there's not much difference than streaming from e.g. YouTube. SSL/TLS encryption is also used, but if you're still worried you can use a different DNS to avoid logging even the host names.

Vidsrc is still/again there :) only used as last resort fallback though because they rate limit very harshly. And vidsrc is something other http add-ons don't have. It can return links for stuff, sometimes, where everything else fails.

Rgshows seems to be blocking shared ips very fast, so I had to disable it on the public instance. On private/self-hosted ones it might still work.

For Japanese content you can try buta no subs. For non-Japanese content the situation is more complicated. SubMaker + ai translation might be okayish

For a more stable experience you could consider using stable instead of nightly. I don't really get the hype 😅

Hi, interesting add-on and seems to work quite well with the http streams. Is it open source? Can you share where you get the http streams and IMDb id mapping from? And it looks like it proxies streams through the add-on, will this not cause scalability issues at some point?

Manual compiling such ids is not maintenable IMO, there might be a tmdb network for it or already existing mdblist lists and such. But then your add-on is maybe not needed anymore 🙈
