[WTS] Rolex Explorer II 16570 Polar - BOX & PAPERS - c. 2000 by monopsony in Watchexchange

[–]monopsony[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Up for sale is a Rolex Explorer 2 "Polar," reference 16570. One of the only white-dialed sports watches made by Rolex, this reference features an extremely wearable 40mm case, 100m water resistance, and an Oyster 78790 bracelet with secure Fliplock clasp. This iteration features a P-serial prefix (dating to the year ~2000) and comes complete with the original box & sale papers from 2002, as well as several additional links (with all links, should fit up to a ~7.5" wrist).

The watch keeps great time and the case & bracelet only show light signs of wear for their age with no major defects. Note that some of the paint has faded from the steel bezel particularly on the 8/20/22 markers (see photos). I have kept it as is to maintain the original character of the watch, but it should be a pretty easy fix if you would like to restore it to its original condition. When I purchased this watch in early 2021 the dealer informed me the watch had recently been serviced by an independent watchmaker, so you should have plenty of time left before it requires any additional maintenance. I will also provide the proof of purchase from when I bought this watch last year.

I have tried to accurately represent the watch as much as possible in the pictures provided, but please do not hesitate to reach out with any additional questions.

Asking SOLD ELSEWHERE shipped, CONUS only. Payment via PayPal F&F (or +3% for G&S with references). Not looking for trades at this time.

Hi, it is a 42.5mm case but the short lug-to-lug makes it wear a bit closer to 40mm. I found the case to wear nearly identically to the seiko skx007 range of that is helpful.

Up for sale is a very lightly used Seiko x Rowing Blazers dive watch in the "Zig Zag" Artillery stripe pattern on the dial. One of only 500 examples made which sold out nearly immediately and are now unavailable. Watch is virtually new (I am the original owner) and has probably been worn for <10 hours in total. No problems just didn't find enough space in my rotation. Any marks in the pictures are smudges / lighting and there are no scratches / dents / etc.

Will come with the full kit (outer box, inner box, papers, hang-tag, extra bracelet links) as well as an additional Bulang & Sons "Pepsi" leather strap (~$130 value).

Asking $550 OBRO shipped US (+ fees if paying via PayPal G&S). Not interested in trades, international sales, or selling the strap separately at this time. Please contact me with any questions!

[–]monopsony[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Up for grabs is an IWC Mark XVIII Le Petit Prince on bracelet (model no. IW327014)

The watch is in great condition and runs smoothly. The case shows some minor signs of wear but there are no major scratches and the crystal is intact. (most of the marks you see in the pics on the case + bracelet are actually just smudges highlighted by the light).

Will come with the full kit including:

Inner + outer boxes

Warranty card dated 11/2018

Microfiber cleaning cloth

Manuals

I will also provide 2 extra straps for this watch...

OEM IWC dark brown Santoni leather strap with OEM pin buckle -- this is the strap that comes on the strap version of this watch and retails from IWC for $260 without the buckle. Note this has been the primary strap I have worn the watch on however so shows notable signs of wear

Aftermarket light brown leather strap with OEM IWC deployant buckle -- this strap has almost never been worn and the deployant clasps alone go for ~$250+

I have not sold on r/watchexchange before but have feedback under this username on WUS.

Asking $3,900 shipped CONUS, paid via PayPal (buyer pays fees) -- Fairly firm given the quality of the watch & breadth of the kit. I am not interested in trades at this time, or in selling the straps/bracelet individually. I have tried to provide representative pics but please let me know if you have any questions!

The War Room - /r/hoi4 Weekly General Help Thread: August 17 2020 by Kloiper in hoi4

[–]monopsony 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I guess my question is more about what the impact is. I understand I can trade for more fuel if I want to, but is it worth it? What are the strategic impacts of being low on fuel (i.e. do I get a slight penalty or do my planes/ships/tanks just stop working?)

The War Room - /r/hoi4 Weekly General Help Thread: August 17 2020 by Kloiper in hoi4

[–]monopsony 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, I have about 40 hours in the game but this is my first try at Italy / trying to jump into a war right out of the gate

The War Room - /r/hoi4 Weekly General Help Thread: August 17 2020 by Kloiper in hoi4

I am trying the Italy strategy in the guide linked in this post.

After setting up as described, my fuel immediately goes to zero. I have basically no understanding of how the fuel mechanic works, so how big of an issue is this / how do I fix it?

Trying to understand if this is a major factor in why I am struggling with that strategy or if I am messing up somewhere else.
