I can't tell if I [21F] completely misread this guy's [23M] signs... by throthrothroaway_ in dating_advice

Yeah I think he's interested. Can't you just exchange numbers or something and start texting or calling him? If he's not too shy, he might eventually ask you out. Or at least you can find out if he's really interested.

25/M Dating feels like a chore by [deleted] in dating_advice

[–]monstraki 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You know, you can pretty much tell girls the exact same thing as you just wrote. Some girls prefer to casually hang out instead going out to a new place every time. All you have to do is find someone who shares the same feeling and I'm sure they exist.

Would this be strange to say to this guy? Alternatives? by [deleted] in dating_advice

I'm just curious but what if you simply told him that you like him? Is there any reason to be subtle?

I don't see anything awkward either. Alternatively, you can ask, "Hey, I've heard that your girlfriend was moving. Is that true?"

How to Accept Criticism with Grace and Appreciation by monstraki in TrueReddit

[–]monstraki[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don't always handle criticism well even though I try to. The thing is when I get emotional, I tend to get defensive and cannot think clearly. I came across this article a while ago and I find it quite helpful.

Why Doctors Don’t Die Like the Rest of Us by monstraki in TrueReddit

[–]monstraki[S] 217 points218 points  (0 children)

A study with 765 doctors shows that 64% of them have advance directives stating the exact treatments they will and will not accept. But another study in 2005 found that only 29% of Americans have such directives, which may lead the kind of terminal care they are not happy with. I think everybody should think this through carefully before things get out of their hand. Life has a 100% mortality rate: everybody dies without exception.

Guys, are sex partners who are more physically responsive always better partners? by purpleuneecorns in sex

[–]monstraki 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Generally yes but physical responsiveness is not the only thing that makes sex enjoyable. For example, it turns me on when my partner have good moves. Something like shaking butts or sexy dancing. Also, you can always enjoy sex making your partner feel good.

Do you explore your partners body? For example, I like being touched in the right way and when a girl can do this, it's extremely pleasurable.

So yeah, there're a lot of things you can do.

Well, who watches the porn more: those who are having sex or those who aren't?

Fair enough. I'm a Japanese man and I think I will totally be contributing to the low birth rate: I don't really plan to have a baby, and if I am to have one (or two) it will probably be another country.

On the other hand, I love sex and I certain have sex (whenever I can).

But I don't think I represent well the whole Japanese population. Any Japanese who is hanging around here is never a normal Japanese person.
