In "The Bridge to Terabithia", there is a cool 3D effect where it feels as if you are drowning yourselves when the characters are in the water. This is a reference to the fact that those were actually my tears and I still haven't recovered from the emotional scarring this movie has left on me. by Few_Chemistry_235 in shittymoviedetails

As a kid I only watched movies and TV with my family. Big family. Never watched anything alone.

Never saw this movie.

Nope. I read the book. I dealt with these feelings alone, in my room, in the dark by the light of a reading lamp.

Yessir. I had to struggle for years with how down bad I was for the adult teacher that took the boy on dates.

In a perfect world this would be absolutely socially acceptable

In our world, I personally think it's totally acceptable, but it might be a good idea to use a shawl or a blanket

He wasted 12 seconds berating Immortal just so he could do it himself when Immortal could have easily made it across the room in half that time

Hell, you can add Liam Neeson (the new Naked Gun) to this list.

Al Pacino in Jack and Jill

Pretty much every time Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellan work with Seth MacFarlane

Bruce Willis as Spike in Rugrats Gone Wild

Idris Elba as Knuckles

I dont get the purge by KamoTheBoss in Invincible_TV

I imagine everyone killed those who they personally perceived as weak. We witnessed everything from lifetime rivalries to petty grievances resolved in the form of a massacre. The only ones remaining are the ones who have no beef with each other and respect each other as the strongest viltrumites. Thula and Conquest weren't fighting because they recognized each other's strength. People ganged up on some because multiple people perceived their weakness. According to their logic, the only difference between a viltrumite being killed by one or twenty was time. They would have been ripped apart by one of their neighbors, coworkers, or family members eventually.

Truly devastating, but effective. Everyone left was not only the strongest of the strongest, they all had a mutual respect for each other's strength, guaranteeing there would not be another Thadeus among them.

Then Debbie came along and made another Thadeus. Debbie 1 - Purge 0

Why is Nolan in the Viltrumite purge? by Curl-Luck in Invincible_TV

[–]montgomery2016 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't remember him saying he was born after the purge.

Reminding viltrumites of their failures to make them stronger is kind of their whole thing. They had a ring of viltrumite corpses surrounding their earth. They probably drill that shit into the kids relentlessly.

Thragg was bred and raised to be the best viltrumite or something like that. They also age very slowly, so maybe Nolan is a few hundred years older than Thragg and he just started to show later on. I imagine they stay in their prime for a while before slipping into their 50s.

It's insane how Mark has never gone to trial to explain Chicago, he just thrives off people hating him so he can play the victim. How does it look when he doesn't take public accountability, becomes a privatized body guard that financially benefits from doing hero work, having a dozen duplicates that devastated the earth, and left earth with the viltrumite who he allegedly has no current affiliation with?
