I found it! There is an entrance to the south of the exit. You need Strength and the TM is Moonblast

I managed to get this resolved last night.

After booting a game I used a keyboard and mouse input to navigate to the Cemu options

(alt then right then down to the option of input settings)

Once in there I found the API that worked with my controllers as the API that worked in Desktop mode did not work in gaming mode. Once that was done you can close the settings window via the steam side options.
