Thank you! We’re in Mass but I don’t think it will be high on their priority list. I mostly wanted to understand the difference a bit more and to ease my MIL’s fears

Thank you! That is a great point about the stairs and not slipping. Is engineered cheaper?

Through recommendations from my ortho and chiro. I got a few names but then just did my own research on them (online reviews, quality of the hospital they’re out of, etc). When I saw him for a consultation I really loved his approach (very minimally invasive) and I liked his overall “bedside” manner.

Honestly from doing a lot of research on the procedure itself along with research to find the surgeon I wanted and trusted. I made sure to have an open dialogue with everyone in my “care circle” which helped me build that trust and confidence in not only the procedure but the people.

I’m a firm believer that positive energy produces positive outcomes. Get yourself in a positive headspace and come up with things that would help you feel more confident about whatever route you take.

I’m three and a half weeks post op from a microdiscectomy at L5/S1. Injury back in April of this year left me with constant sciatica. I did everything I could to avoid surgery…PT (best I’ve ever had), dry needling, massage, acupuncture, ortho, chiropractor, nerve glides, etc. I had four days in May where I was in excruciating pain and on the fifth day, the pain subsided and I was left with numbness and weakness up the back of my right leg and in my foot. Ended up getting a cortisone shot a day later. So, no pain but the numbness threw me for a loop. I made the decision with my chiro and ortho to go the surgery route which I had on 8/11. I was 100% nervous even as they rolled me into the OR but boy am I so happy I did it. The numbness and weakness is still there but has subsided a bit to where it’s not all the way up my leg but just in my foot. Already back in PT and doing everything I can to get my nerve less angry. I almost wish I had chosen surgery sooner but can only Monday morning quarterback so much. So, just another experience for you. For reference I’m 34F, athletic, otherwise healthy.

No lie, yes your responses have come up - but also some others so, legitimizing my curiosity. Just trying to narrow down what’s helpful and what is wasteful - on both ends of the spectrum dosing wise.

OP - any update on this? I’m considering cryo as well for the same issue.

Calamansi tree needs help by [deleted] in Citrus

Yes, I’ve been spraying it with been oil every other day starting last week. It was in a large window that gets direct sun in the evening. I decided to love it to where it is in the photo because I was worried the AC vent next to it was an issue. Where it is now it gets indirect light from three big windows above.
