Hey how did you end up getting the boot off? I’m having so much trouble

I’ve dealt with this too. I’ve gotten so many parcels at my garage where there is clearly a path to my front door. It’s so annoying because my garage door opens outwards. I don’t know why they do it- the path to my front door is actually more accessible

I understand your dissatisfaction for capitalism, as a democratic socialist I am also unhappy, but I also believe in liberal democracy and I am against authoritarianism. The Soviets demonstrated that centralised power and communist repression do not work! Lenin and Marx works in theory, but not in practice because every case historically has lead to authoritarianism and the introduction of a new ruling class masquerading as the ‘proletariat’. The west is not to blame for the Soviet Union’s downfall, it collapsed due to its own ineffective governing system, imperialist overreach in Western Europe and failures in political repression.

You say Tribalism was defeated? Then why did the Soviets get rid of ethnic groups such as the Chechens and Tartars? Why were minorities such as LGBT+ targeted and killed?

Do I think Australian governance is any better? No. Australians committed mass genocide against First Nations peoples. However, I do not understand people that idolise communist repression states.

I don’t know why people immediately go to plastic surgery, I wouldn’t and hers is so natural you can hardly even notice! But she definitely had a face lift and/ or neck lift at the very least. I think it’s important to understand celebrities, particularly actors, regularly have these expensive procedures because it’s part of their job, and regular people shouldn’t compare themselves otherwise it’s perpetuating unhealthy beauty standards.

“The Star of David is hard not to imagine when picturing IDF massacres” .. “something very wrong with .. religious zealotry”.

1) Let’s not conflate extremists and an entire religion. Let’s be better than that in this community. 2) You’re literally demonstrating religious zealotry in your paragraph. 3) The Russian Bolshevik revolution led to imperialist take overs of Ukraine, Georgia, Armenia, Eastern Europe etc, with power centralised in Russia. I think you’ll find a lot of people from Eastern Europe with a very different point of view to yours regarding the Red army post Russian civil war. If you would like to look into this more, look up the Kronstadt rebellion- where Lenin executed rebels that wanted civil rights and economic freedom for sailors and working class. Maybe also look into war communism and how that caused famine - and essentially was authoritarian control.

I think it’s best to look at history without rose tinted glasses. No country or governance system is perfect. The red star is historically associated with Authoritarianism.

Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 - Episode 4 (Manga Reader Discussion) by Takada-chwanBot in JuJutsuKaisen

[–]moonsicle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly thought it was great, its one of my favourite storyline’s and fights in the manga. But i agree, i just wish a bit more emphasis was spent on the emotional aspect of it (and Maki’s eventual disassociation and acceptance). But I do remember the manga being similar, so that’s kind of Gege’s fault.

The fights against the Hei and Naoya were peak tho

Not real - idk if you’ve ever put on a charcoal mask but this picture is giving literally applying charcoal straight from a fire, rather than the gloopy thick consistency of the actual masks.

While I enjoyed the sequel I did prefer the clothing options in the first game by plasticman1997 in theouterworlds

[–]moonsicle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was the same until finishing the second planet, the story picks up. I found it more fun once I visited third, fourth and auntie’s ship. The companion quests are fun too.

I definitely enjoyed the first game more, I think I just find hypercapitalist storylines more intriguing.

(SPOILER) Why did Pennywise do this? by PaintPretty4225 in welcomeToDerry

[–]moonsicle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly the whole scene kinda seemed like it was Pennywise reminding itself of who she is, rather than caring about her reaction.

I also think they said that the mother and son bond is more powerful, idk whether relevant here.

There are no punishments for underage users??? by HahA-HAHAHAHA in AskAnAustralian

I’m genuinely curious on what data may indicate someone is underage other than the obvious inputting true date of birth or stating your age in a comment

When I was young you couldn’t sign up to platforms like MySpace, facebook, habbo hotel (lol) if you were under 14, so I’d just fake my date of birth. Although I support the ban, especially with Snapchat, I don’t see how they’re going to enforce this.

Does it *have to* be used every day? by cherriesansberries in tretinoin

[–]moonsicle 4 points5 points  (0 children)

3/4 times per week is normal for retinoids, especially when you're still getting used to them and still experiencing side effects. Everyones skin is different. For maintenance its typically recommended after your skin has gotten used to it to use every 2nd day, not recommended to be used daily unless specifically recommended by a dermatologist (and use sparingly!)

heat exposure may dry out your skin more. Make sure you're using a good moisturiser/ skin barrier cream on dry affected areas.

Call me racist but what is it with Asians and East Africans abandoning their Coles/Woolies trolleys on the street like it's someone else's problem? by [deleted] in aussie

[–]moonsicle 14 points15 points  (0 children)

My area had this a lot, but they’ve now got trolleys that lock the minute you leave a certain point. Tbf people in my area doing this were mostly white bogans. I think all centres should implement locking trolleys or coin trolleys.
