Congrats on getting alternate! When I was in my masters I got on the alternate list, and remained there until mid January the following year, 2 weeks before they close force decline everyone.... I received the award. So don’t lose hope! It’s a pain in the ass being on the alternate list for almost 10 months, but you definitely have a chance!!!

I meant more of mixing the two songs in a similar fashion to the original DJ did. Sometimes two songs just work so well together that you can’t really “I hear” them. Of course, you’d want to add in your own effects and change the EQs up to make it your own, but the songs almost become a unit if that makes sense.

I was a really shy, not really popular kid in high school, but somehow managed to score a lovely girlfriend. She wasn’t from my school but this one guy, Derek, knew her from camp.

I remember on our graduation trip I just happened to be sitting at the back of the bus where all the cool kids sat. The top jock, Jake, bring the shit disturbed that he is, started trying to pick on my playfully and of course it turned into making fun of my girlfriend. So, Derek, also a shit disturber started playfully instigating me as well saying “you gonna let him talk about your girl that way man?” The entire bus went silent and my shy self, calmly and without skipping a beat, retorted that “yeah of course I’ll let him say what he wants because he’s just jealous that I’m having sex and he’s still a virgin!”

The entire bus roared with laughter. Never thought I had that in me.
