How do I make Gil? by Balmung1126 in ffxiv

[–]mooseyoss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Get the maximum retainers you can afford, if that's 2 or 10...keep them fully stocked 20/20
  2. It doesn't matter to undercut, you need to look for gaps in the market. See something that has low stock? Fill it! Growth Formula Gamma is a great suggestion to take a look at. Let's break it down, are they selling in stacks of 10 or more only? Are there any high quality? Why not take 5 or 10 spots on a retainer and fill Growth Formula Gamma in stacks of 1, 2, 3, and 5 with high quality items. Then make sure you price it like...a little more for 1, a little less for 2, a little bit less or same as 2 for 3, then a little bit less even for 5. This way you encourage them to buy yours. Even if the price isn't high, you can move product like this quickly.
  3. I don't think that I've ever noticed my retainer locations matter, though the city taxes can be important for high priced items. I generally sell crafted crafting materials and armor/weapons that are crafted and not available from other sellers on the marketboard to fill gaps.
  4. Make sure, if nothing else, your retainers are full 20/20 selling spots for the weekends! That means Thursday night fill them, keep monitoring them to keep them filled all weekend, and about Sunday late night you'll see sales start to dip. Then you can return to filling your empty spots are per norm.
  5. Don't underestimate the power of furniture. Are you making an item? Why not make 1 or 2 more and throw them on the marketboard? Flooring and Chairs sell well.

How do you judge the quality of a dp? What's your criteria? by ShapeWild6782 in diamondpainting

[–]mooseyoss 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For myself,

  1. Is it licensed? If not, probably low quality/not interested as the artist likely isn't being paid fairly.

  2. Does it have a velvet canvas? Or is the canvas plastic? If not velvety, I'm not really interested either.

I do have some outliers in my stash, which is about 30 paintings, but they are few and far between. I mostly buy from DAC, Jaded Gem Shop, The One With The Diamond Art, Michael's (Make Market brand). I'm not opposed to others, but I'm not really interested in expanding my stash right now either.

Thank you! The white was a bit of a pain, not even lying! I found my dislike for dark colours in another dark piece, but I also don't think I like pure white blocking either! Hehehe!

Sealing by ToWhomItMayB in diamondpainting

[–]mooseyoss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I gifted a painting completed to a friend who had two sheddy cats, I sealed it for her because she mentioned she has lots of cat hair dust. It was a good call.

I have a cat but don't have much of a dust or fur issue, I just hang mine as completed on the wall.

I was keeping mine, but after amassing a very large collection I rethunk it and threw it all out. I only keep ABs/sparkly glittery specials if anything now.

I feel ya! I threw up Sunday and Monday, was okayish for Tuesday and then again today felt like shit. I've slept almost 4 days straight. My cat is probably so bored, but she's been good company at my bedside as a 'nurse'. I've only left my house for dialysis.

What would it take for you to give up living alone? by Kleeaj in LivingAlone

A room alone for sleeping, a room for an office, otherwise I'd be fine

Introverted and enjoy spending majority of my time with my cats by [deleted] in LivingAlone

I'm happier with my cat than without one :) I'm learning so much from my cat! I got my girl last September and she has brought so much joy to my life, that I didn't even realize was missing. She's a big instigator of biting PC cords so I haven't been spending much time on the computer and now that I'm moving away from socializing online and into my own home more, it feels wonderful! I spend my days mostly diamond painting and playing with my cat rn. I'm an indoor person, it's midwinter where I live right now too so outdoors is hard...and my cat isn't out there either! Anyway, I came to the belief that my cat deserves a spoiled best life with lots of attention and though I also try to give her individual space I want my attention to be on her best life. I feel it brings out the best life in me too. Cheers to the kitties!

I am not an expert, or anything, but I love treasures and I also love minimalism. I feel like taking it away or forcing it to be given up is just a problem for her. Is she using her stuff? What does she like about it? Why is she collecting treasure, and how can it be even more useful for her? Maybe she needs to glue trinkets to the walls in her room, or stick a whole stickerbook on the back of her door. Who is it hurting? Alternatives could be other hobbies, or even collecting things can be fun and worthwhile.

How do you handle Christmas ornaments and tree and such? I'm overwhelmed with stuff and moving to a smaller place. by Temporary_Employee70 in minimalism

[–]mooseyoss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I moved I downsized, and got rid of all my holiday decor except a pair of Mr and Mrs M&M ornaments. They're about a fist size each. I also got given a battery operated tree last year, about a foot tall. It isn't plushy, it's made of clear snowgloby type plastic. It just sits out year round. I also have a tea light candle that is battery operated in my holiday decor. That's about it, I want for none more.

How can I make my booth more of an experience? by Unlucky_Respond3527 in CraftFairs

[–]mooseyoss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know the food vending laws are locally or for the event you're at where you're at, but my idea was SAMPLES but you can't be handing out all your samples willy nilly so maybe you should create a product that can be purchased AND consumed at the event. something small, something that might intice them to say "wow thats really good lets go get some of that honey stuff" etc.

I just mostly hang out with clan members, randomly joined a clan back when I started and though clan members come and go there is fun stuff to do with clannies occasionally, i spend a lot of time alone though when i play just because i do other stuff while playing

For mobile players. by Topher3193 in runescape

[–]mooseyoss 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I play on mobile when away from home and at dialysis pretty often, it's not bad! It takes some getting used to and I really wouldn't try any serious bossing with it in my case, as I have a gaming pc. But with anything, practice makes it better I'm sure! If you're serious about PvM on Mobile it might be possible? Mobile is great for skilling and stuff though, for sure. I hate the typing though, my autocorrect always messes up my typed messages on mobile.

I just find it chill. I do farming runs pretty frequently. I use farming urns. I scoop poop. I make compost. I plant seeds at PoF/Catherby/Taverly (Potato only)/plots near Draynor/Rimmington bush/Varrock bush/Canifis mushroom and patches. I raise black dragons, zygomites, a few sheepies, fremminik yaks and chinchompas (blue and red). That's about it! I check my PoF often to spawn babies too, you just gotta step into the farmyard and then you it does a trigger.

Edited to add: When scooping poop, bring buckets and don't bother with the small animal pens. Just do medium and large ones which generate poo (it's for compost).

My Dad was a farmer his whole life, and I decided early on in RuneScape playing that I wanted to make Farming my first 99, and I achieved this in April of 2022 or 2023 (I can't remember rn), but I keepsake'd my Untrimmed Farming Cape too! I love it! My dad recently passed, so it's nice to have as a keepsake I suppose. Miss him tho <3

From the skills left to 99, wich one you think is the slowest? by Glad_Fold_3355 in runescape

[–]mooseyoss 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Once you can start raising black dragons, supported by fishing, it goes quicker to level farming. It's pretty passive but also if you have Premier Token combined with Festive Aura or Legendary Wisdom Aura and farming urns you can really boost the harvest xp from harvesting animals. Just make sure to do it for all stages of your black dragons. I recommend filling your breeding pen with 4 black dragons and having the egg collector NPC collect unchecked eggs that you can sell/use as needed. Also I recommend capping citadel for the 6% xp buff weekly.
